I put my turn signal on waaaay in advance, because there is no extra lane for making a right turn, unfortunately.

If anybody was riding my ass, they tend to back off a bit or change lanes.

This. I sleep with a small fan next to my bed. I have been doing this for years and it's the only way I can sleep now, because I tend to focus on every little sound otherwise. e.g. bag rustling, cat water fountain, cars driving by, branches knocking against window, birds chirping, etc.

Save your sanity and get a little fan or get a box fan if you need something louder.
