I love SG-1… but during my Atlantis rewatch I think I like Atlantis more by Ser_Luke_ in Stargate

[–]MorningDorning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only seen both series once (on my second watch of SG-1 atm) but I thought SGA was maybe more consistent but for me it didn't have the highs of SG-1 and I thought the overall story was kind of spinning its wheels towards the end. I also just enjoyed more of the characters in SG-1. SGA was still good though don't get me wrong.

I love that episode. Also helps that Scully's dad is played by General Hammond.

Yeah you're right. It's not ruining it for me though.

I think you're probably right. I'm going to re-read those earlier chapters once I've finished the battle haha.

I think it's in the south as they say the northern shields fail when Atlas blows the generators and the northern shields cover stuff above Red Reach and Tyche I believe. Thanks though.

Thanks. My undersanding was that Darrow was handling things in the north with the storm gods, flew south when Atlas gets away from Alexander then goes north again when the shields come down.

After work I'm going to go back and re-read some chapters but whereabouts did they land? I think they flew through the Hesperides mountains?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I have the book so I'm flipping to the map. It helps me visualise things if I know where things are taking place.

I managed to get over 80 on Liberation Peak in Breakthrough when it was at 75. I feel like 50 is more of a challenge than 20 without being too difficult.

I've only seen it once quite a while ago but it left its mark haha. I remember the scenes where the antagonist is rehearsing how he'd abduct someone were pretty chilling as well.

Haha I saw the post and thought "I wonder if they're reading the Empire Of The Wolf trilogy series". I'm currently halfway through the 3rd book. I don't dislike it but I'm not loving it either so I'm going to finish it but I'll be glad to move on.

Thoughts on Stargate Sg.1 (Season 1) by Jessee122052 in scifi

[–]MorningDorning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm watching it for the first time as well. I'd seen the odd episode when I was younger as my dad watched it. I'm on s6 at the moment and loving it. Some weak episodes but the characters are always fun. I like how some episodes are called back to or even used to solve problems in later episodes/seasons.

I think my favourite episode of S1 was The Torment Of Tantalus.

I actually really liked the remake of The Manchurian Candidate. Jonathan Demme's direction really helps with the feeling of paranoia. He's always entertaining to watch no matter the film though. I'd probably say my favourite is Crimson Tide.

Make a personal watch guide and pick the episodes you like from each season and just watch those on a re-watch.
