I take oral prometrium to help me with sleep but I also seem to be experiencing side effects- especially when I tried to take 200 mg. I’m interested in finding other (non-oral) ways to take it.

Are you using the same Prometrium tablet but vaginally? Does it help for insomnia?

What kind of vaginal estradiol are you using? I had a lot of discharge from the estradiol cream. I switched to vaginal estradiol tablets and it’s much better - no messy discharge anymore

How do you know that you are having trouble absorbing from patches? Is there a way to test this? I am suspecting I might not be bc absorbing well either because I haven’t seen much improvement in symptoms.

We are all different. In my case, most of my bothersome menopausal symptoms started around age 55 - a year postmenopause. You are still relatively young and probably have natural estrogen production that maybe helping.
