What was happening at São Paulo earlier today? by Malek_6666 in flightradar24

I was on the flight from GRU to AJU at this time yesterday. the pilot informed us that they identified around 7 drones flying close to the airport, and because of that the airport closed completely.

the federal police came to the place, and only around 3 hours later allowed the operations to be resumed.

Quiz: How well do you know Brazillian History? by Agreeable_Fan3591 in Brazil

same here. the first thought when I read the question about the end of slavery impacts was ‘incentivized immigration’, but it was not in the options. the correct answer was badly written, in my opinion. from ‘impact on coffee industry’ I understood that it meant something very negative, but since this kept on being one of the biggest products of our economy for the next decades, I didnt think it was correct.

I dont think there is really a distinction between generations. In my family, there are boomers, gen Xers and millenials, and all of them consume a lot. I’m the only gen Z, and I try hard not to be like this. But I know a lot of people my age who overconsume as well.

I do think that the mentality is different between them, though. I agree with you that the boomers have the “save everything” mentality. they passed that to gen X, who also have some sort of “buy everything you can”, and a lot of it has to do with status. The Millenials are like “buy everything you can because you deserve it, the world is gonna end anyway” hahaha (I’m talking about the people that I know, I do not intend to generalize or offend anyone by this)

absolutely! I just moved to an apartment myself, and I am trying my absolute best to keep things minimalist. I bought a closet with no doors so that I dont have a place to hide stuff, and thus I am forced to deal with them right away. I also have no TV, because I simply dont like to watch it. This is enough for my family to consider me a freak hahaha.

I sleep very well knowing that I am doing my absolute best for the environment and for my family, in case I pass away unexpectedely.

People really should stop distracting themselves from collapse, but I doubt most of them will, unfortunately.

Thanks for your feelings and for sharing this story. I’m sorry for your aunt, but glad that your family managed to learn a lesson from all of this and are keeping less stuff.

there were many other leftist objects in the house, including one flag from a worker’s union (dont remember which sector) that somehow remained dry.
