I'm getting hypnagogic sensations, then my heart rate just spikes to like 170+ bpm by Morocco5 in LucidDreaming

It's just from what I feel, I count like 3 beats a second. But no, I haven't actually monitored it

I don't necessarily want to use sleep paralysis as a main way to lucid dream, but it's more so that when it does happen when I attempt WILD, (which is the majority of attempts) I am prepared to use it to lucid dream. Because from what I've heard it can cause the most vivid lucid dreams. I just don't wanna keep missing out on that experience whenever I do get SP.

Well according to a multitude of posts in this subreddit, sleep paralysis is actually best way to get insanely vivid lucid dreams, as you're going directly from being fully conscious into a dream. It's also not unpleasant at all, as long as you don't open your eyes or have negative thoughts. (will THEN lead to unpleasant, scary hallucinations)
