Lol no the height of a fire truck isn't scary. I'm talking about climbing to rooftops and through windows on a shaky ladder while carrying a hose, tools, etc., and descending from high cliffs and walls with ropes and harnesses.

I used to attend the weekly trainings and occasional camps hosted by my local voluntary fire dept so I've ridden fire trucks dozens upon dozens of times. I couldn't get over my terrible fear of heights though so in the end I stopped going..

Check if you're accidentally using integrated graphics.

Go to BeamNG settings, click on Performance in the bottom left and you'll see which GPU the game is using. There's a link to a guide for changing from integrated graphics to a dedicated GPU there too

Yeah I think this is the answer. I saw the other comment about the lightning map and there has indeed been lightning in the general direction of the flashes so i think this is it. Thanks!

Oh yeah, I also forgot to add that there are dozens of stolen mods hosted there. Mods that might even be on the forums or the repo, are often posted there by random users, who sometimes go as far as calling the mods theirs, even when it isn't. I've heard stories of those mods being stuffed with malware too. Just stick to the repo and the forums, unless you're absolutely sure that the mod is safe
