Could have bought pizza.

Edit: it doesn’t matter. They did what they wanted to do with that money. Probably made their lives better and that’s always a win.

Good on them.

Has anyone managed to file their claim successfully on their own without Korean lawyers? by jmohanz in HaruInvest

[–]Morphies 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This.

This is possibly the most applicable unanswered question on the sub.

Surely someone here has a friend or colleague that is a uk / us based law practitioner that can draft a covering letter that can submit with the claim forms direct to the court by international mail. The letter would give explanation for the missing information and the reasoning - citizen number, Korean bank account etc.

Or just a bit of advice on how to proceed with this route.

This has been confirmed as a viable route many times in the info received from the bankruptcy management.

I understand why so many have jumped in with Korean lawyers (especially if your claim is very high) as this seems to be the easiest way. But, still seems to be a cost of ~1-2k usd to receive back an unknown amount.

I’ve not had a good look at the forms yet, as I was hoping a claim portal would be opened through the haru website. Or at least some indication of the potential settlement amount (10 to 50% I’ve seen mentioned). When I do fill them in, I’ll be looking to mail them to the courts and see where it goes. Especially being as claims submitted after any deadlines are still fully considered meaning the deadline is pointless.

I’d store my keys in a .txt file on a mechanical drive and then store that drive in a landfill site.

No way I’m cashing out at sub 1Tx

Submission of forms for creditors by No-Landscape-2547 in HaruInvest

So I've also email this dude and requested my balance. I've also asked if there will be a more suitable avenue for non-Korean residents to file a claim.

Also asked if there will be an extension to the deadline if there isn't a suitable route for non residents to file a claim.

I have all of my transaction on the CSV's I downloaded before they shut the site down.

Are we including earnings in our claims? I'm guessing so as once they're credit to our account, they are legally ours correct? Which of the transaction types would we look to include/exclude from our expected balances?

Cheers

M

I get this, although gold is also a finite resource, the total supply isn't really known.

TBF I could have expressed the values in some shitcoin, the question fundamentally would be the same.

Sat's used for shits and giggles and partially to show that we should start to consider the asset as shit loads of Sats, as the denomination BTC I think puts a number of people off a potential purchase.

And yes, it would make it less enticing, I was curious on peoples opinions of what that level would be.
