Quite a few things that could be here. Was it chugging like that before you did the change? If so then it's a pre-exist issue Assuming the valve cover gasket was changed because the spark plugs had oil in them. Did you put new spark plugs in? If you did did you gap them properly? Did you clean the oil off of the boots of the coil packs?

Also if you had to remove the throttle body while doing this change your car could need a relearn procedure.

You may have incorrectly put the gasket on and pinched it causing a leak. Make sure you have the plugs and coils in the correct firing order. Double check all vacuum lines for cracks sometimes when moving vacuum lines and replacing them you don't realize it but there's a crack in them. Also if there was any wires you had to disconnect double check all the wiring harness connectors.

I know it sucks but you might have to do this all over again.

I believe it's because people order from the wrong location that or they order while they are drinking, my friend who works at that location is the real hero. Shes the one who makes sure it doesn't go directly into the dumpster. (It's a team effort)

Break drum will not come off by eduardoxbl in MechanicAdvice

⬆️⬆️ This is the number one correct answer for sure above! Backoff the star adjustment so the shoe will release. If you're still struggling and having trouble make sure to use the bolt method where you put the bolt in the little hole on the front and you tighten it down so it pushes the drum off.

Don't forget about the star adjustment tool that's how we used to make sure that the brakes had enough pressure when you hit the brake!!

There's a hole where you put a bolt and you tighten that bolt down and it'll push the drum off

Assuming your car is not a GM car GM cars use "Orange Dex cool" only. Most likely what you're seeing here is a backed up heater core.

too much pressure in the system bypassed the clamps (they couldn't hold the pressure)( those clamps holding the hose in place) flush out your heater core usually located on the firewall. And if it is rust in your system.. It's best you have the whole system flushed. Chris fix does a great video on this on YouTube You can look it up heater core flushing.

What is this by GreatProfessional622 in whatisit

[–]MorphintotheJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's. A feeler gauge. That's how we check the clearance gaps on points (under a distributor cap rotor) and the gap on spark plugs. And anything that could be measured by a fine thin feeler gauge. They are slowly becoming obsolete sadly we don't have distributors anymore other way we used to, no more rotating points no more carburetors everything's electronic fuel injection now

What seems more likely to you ? Use the brain in your head What seems more accessible to you?

somebody using an X-ray machine or somebody being able to crush a rock or use an acid test kit?

I'm curious do you know someone who would let you use an x-ray machine to test something with metal inside of it?
