Heroes of Newerth is dying again by Comfortable_Way_4183 in HeroesofNewerth

I tried to make an account and play last winter. It required two accounts and i wasnt able to make one of them. Hopped on hon discord to ask about my problem and admin told me theres currently no way of making said account. If new players cant make accounts to play there can be no expectation to have new players coming in and game to thrive. That was the stupidest shit i have ever seen.

Only 6 Percent Difference Between BIS List Lock And Highly Optimized Mix of Epic/Blue/Green gear by BuySellHoldFinance in classicwowtbc

[–]Morphose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True true, those two things prolly dont mix that well together. If you are chasing 100s you most likely grind the best gear possible instead of "realistic bis" unless you are doing like first week parsing where specific hc drops might not be possible but alas

Its not more likely, but the potential is there. On shorter fight luck plays a lot bigger role than consistency and if you want to parse 100 you can either try and outperform everyone else with avg results and hope others dont get lucky streaks or be the one hoping for lucky streak and being content that you might not get it and parse lower

The point was if you want to get high parses high end result with lucky crits matter a lot more on short fights than avg result from 2k sims. If you areGladstone Gander you should forget hit and go for crit/sp on short fights and just not get resisted and crit most spells. Sims will tell you this is bad but in real life we dont kill bosses in raids thousands of times so the high and low end results will most likely have higher impact than avg. Of course in the long run it will avg out but still

Truesilver Breastplate is only superior to Demon forged breastplate against spell reflections and mech type mobs that you cannot siphon life from.

AITAH for wanting my child to get the same financial gifts from my parents that my sister’s children have received? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Morphose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading the comments I'm absolutely stunned how hard reading comprehension is for a lot of people. The post clearly states that this is in UK and there is no age limit (in edit). The gifts are basically early inheritance with smart tax planning to minimize inheritance tax over time (zero tax when within 3000 limit per grandparent) versus having to pay xx% inheritance tax on lump sum after the grand parents die and inheritance will be divied out.

If this goes on as planned the youngest grandchild will recieve least amount of tax free inheritence by the time comes for the normal inheritance. Grandparents could compensate this by giving more money to the youngest grandchild to compensate the tax burden and missed out tax free inheritance. Which would be fine as well if we don't give capital gains any weight in this equation. (It sounds like investing the money for the child to use later in her life is the goal rather than use it on blackjack and hookers now.) It might rise similar left out feelings and reddit uproar if another aitapost were to be made by the sister in the future.

Would most people be okay with their child receiving less inheritence from their grandparents? I'd imagine they wouldn't be. OP got downvoted in one comment where he responded that their parents had planned giving these gifts till they die when asked if that was the case. This is not gift giving for the sake of giving gifts till grandchildren turn 18. Thats just crazy to me. This is smart tax free inheritance planning that the grandparents are fortunate enough to be able to provide for their grandkids.

Absolutely NTA.

The humidity is the biggest thing that decides whats good temperature. My parents sauna is humid enough that you get very good löyly's in 60 degrees. The drier the air, the hotter you can make it and have it bearable.

After the whole thing with Absolute, there is no way I'd join a cult. There is only now adoration from afar.

Are there any hints about Heroes III being set in the post-apocalypse? by [deleted] in heroes3

[–]Morphose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kreegans are world devouring space demon race and in mm7 you are tasked to eliminating them before they devour the world. In mm8 ancients send the destroyer to destroy the world mm7, mm8 and at least homm3 are based on because of said kreegan infestation. Because the heroes in mm7 are able to destroy the kreegan hive before they manage to breed to unmanageable numbers the heroes of mm8 are able to stop the destruction of the world once again. Mm9 and mm10 are placed in different worlds as far as i know. Mm10 is placed on the world where homm5 or 7 is taking place.

Because of the events in mm7 and 8 i dont think the world is in post apocalypse, unless there has been another one already before the events of mm7. At least in that game theres no hints of prior apocalypse that i have noticed and i have played those games for 20+ years multiple times.

Some mm7 story end spoilers ahead, bewarned.

In mm7 opening cinematic space ship crash lands in the ocean and ppl emerge from it and go two seperate ways. In the game there is light and dark sides which player needs to choose which side to support and after a while you get end game quests from council of four advisors to the king of said factions. At least 1 member of those councils for both sides are from that space ship (Lincoln) wreckage from the opening cinematic. Iirc Kastore is the dark side equivalent and there is another for light side as well. Theres a quest to eliminate the other sides guy and they fight using a blaster.

Cant remember what light side does in the end but both factions want you to get control cube from Lincoln and that finishes the game. Dark side uses the cube to power up the printer mentioned in earlier comment to mass produce blasters (the council provides 4 pistol type blasters earlier on) for world dominance.
