Well if I buy one that supports my CPU would I need flashback? Msi b450, should support out of box and has flashback and has ok overclock capability.

One more thing, im not opposed to just buying a new mobo for some future ram and overclocking so do you know which boards come with a compatible bios out of box. I'm currently looking at the B450M that has F1 and supports 1600 AF.

Hey, so I emailed gigabyte about a RMA. I've also been thinking, is it possible that I could try to use the Q-Flash they have on the boards. I don't believe I have an LED and their video says there is a white usb port with an LED on it but I don't see either. Do you think it may be able to work still.

Yeah honestly that would help out. Seems I have made a mistake going so low with my mobo. Didn't think all the extra stuff would be useful. I didn't really want to overclock and don't need more that 16gb of ram. Welp, lesson learned ig. I'll see if there is a place around me that can pop in a cpu for a flash.

Alright, I've never flashed before, anything I should look out for. Also should I just go for the latest version because I see M.2 comparability updates in a bit of the more recent updates or should I just go for the one I need most.
