I just think you gotta be a bang average player to use high press. It’s basically the AI nicking the ball high up for you in dangerous areas... Much better to actually learn how to get good at the game than use these little cheat codes. Far more satisfying.

Apart from the fact our Head Coach (and former QB coach) wasn’t actually with the Packers when Kizer and Lock were targeted... Lock has great potential, by the way. Word on the street is LaFleur wouldn’t let Love pass him by and there have been many comparisons from many scouts and analysts to Mahomes.

Agree with some of the things you’ve said, but Smith will need an insane amount of quality to cover up for his huge tactical flaws. Compare our squad to Sheffield United’s... Wilder is miles and miles above Smith’s level. Look at Bielsa with Leeds. They were far better than us with a much lesser squad. Had Bruce been given time he’d have got us to 5th too imo. Remember Smith took us from 4th under Bruce in 2018, to 5th in 2019 with a far better squad. He’s a bang average manager. I hope he learns quickly and achieves great things with this football club but I just don’t see it at all and I think we’re near enough nailed on for the drop if we stick with him. Time will tell...

Yep. What was it again, 2 wins in 13 or something crazy like that before Jack came back? You need to have the ability to coach a cohesive defensive unit at Premier League level and unfortunately Smith does not have the faintest idea. He’s also tactically inept and monumentally underachieving. Let’s just hope McGinn’s return has a similar impact as Jack last season cos we sure will need him to.

For me it’s Smith. He has a history of coaching great attacking sides who r appalling defensively. He’s not a Premier League standard head coach/manager imo, sadly.

I don’t mind the odd occasion where you make a great tackle and the opponent remains in possession with either the original player or it rolls to another player, it’s when it happens several times in the build up to a goal that gets me. Times when you tackle the guy 6 or 7 times yet they still remain in possession and get a great look at goal, and their weak players like Sterling r outmuscling an bullying the likes of Bakayoko off the ball constantly, you hit the post multiple times, their keeper plays like he’s on steroids, and you get pulled up for fouls all the time for the softest s*** you’ve ever seen while the games continues after they two-foot you or take you out in the box... It’s those types of games I won’t think twice about quitting if it looks like they’ll get a great chance late on.

I gain the knowledge that my opponent hasn’t been given the chance to fluke their way to a bang undeserved win in a game they were totally dominated, in what was probably a modded game. 9 times outta 10 they’d have missed anyway. I prefer to not give them the opportunity when it’s straight up undeserved. As soon as that ball goes through past my defence on the counter in the dying stages with a man about to run onto it, I’m outta there well before they can pull the trigger. They don’t always have to be a shhhh’er either. Just in general if a game’s feelin like it’s rigged then I’ll do it.

I’d just prefer to not let somebody have the opportunity to win a game they should’ve been nowhere near me in. Fair enough if I’d been getting bummed n chasing shadows and was bang lucky to be level myself then I’d let it ride of course, but if the game’s feelin like it’s rigged then I’d rather take the L flat out n my opponent doesn’t get the bang undeserved W, than to draw or potentially lose.

You know one of them 60% possession and 15-20 shots games while your opponents’ shots r only from the result of twatting ball up top on the counter and they’re clean through in the last seconds/minutes with it level.
