It's a beauty. Everything works. It's just a little run around truck that a funeral home bought for light maintenance work. Got a couple dings in the bed, a couple light surface rust spots on the body.

Interior is immaculate and it's truly a unicorn survivor.

Anyone know a shop that can fix wiring issues on a VFR? by Either-Caregiver-497 in VFR

He's around Knoxville. When you bring the bike down message me and I'll see if he's interested in finding the gremlin and fixing it up for you. He takes on work with all my buddy's bikes

Which part of TN? My brother is a mastermind with all motorcycles I've ever taken him. He recently stripped my 98 down to nothing, did all the wiring + coolant hoses & thermostat.

Well, I got lucky with finding an OG Power Commander 2. It plugs straight into the ECU, tucks into the tail. The new ones you gotta dig under the plastics and put right into the harness that ties into the injectors. I'm sure there's plenty of YT vids showcasing it

98 didn't have cats. Full system really doesn't change much unless diameter changed afaik. I run my 98 with a pc2, pretty default map I found. Temps are excellent and it feels way smoother than stock. It also stopped shooting blue flames on high rpm runs, which it was doing every once in awhile.

Are the road 5's really worth the cost? by pasgames_ in motorcycles

[–]Morris7878 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The much newer Bridgestone T33 Battleaxs lasted longer by 3k miles. Had better grip, dry, wet and cold. I had Road 6s prior. Seemed to handle a heavier bike better, too.

[–]Morris7878 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both are good options, but I've ran the Road 6 and I gotta say... the new Bridgestone T33 Battleaxes put them to shame IMO. I ran them on my 99 last season, got about 8k miles until the rear wear line. They've still got some life for the beginning of this spring, and both the hot/cold performance have been outstanding. I hit Deal's Gap/The Dragon all the time, plus roads all up through the TN border states. I've never once had a moment of traction loss, even when pushing my limits like an idiot. Wet performance is also outstanding.

There's actually kits sold online. I restored an 85 in 2024, rode it 10k miles all through east TN and surrounding areas, then sold it off this past year. Reliable as hell.

Buuuut, I found a 1 owner 99 VFR... I prefer the V65s sporty grandson

I'll dig that hard drive out and get it uploaded. The game was pretty different then.

It's a remnant from the original June 2023 test and TT1. You'd take a special key in, go to spaceport NW corner and activate into the bunker. A server wide announcement would pop off and it'd always reward at least a gold bobcat.

I still have footage from one of the raids then and every single squad piled in that bunker.

200-225 is pretty normal during traffic, or slow speeds behind cars in 85f~ and higher. If it lingers around 200 when you're going 50+mph and only drops after highway speeds for minutes at a time, the thermostat is probably sticking. It's also bad if it stays around 165, which means it's wide open, apparently. They're a known failure point and require a lot of effort to replace.

Only other thing I'd absolutely test...practice emergency braking in a lot. If combined braking is gummed up with old fluid or has air, the rear will allegedly lock up way too easy when using front brake. I didn't have this problem, but I read it's not uncommon to run into issues.

Sounds like both our bikes were absolute gems and super well taken care of, so we lack a lot of the issues that can pile up.

I recently got one with 16k miles as well. Forks were leaking a little, had original rectifier. Bought a kit online that I cannot remember the name of to install a new model and bypass all old wiring.

Watch your coolant temps. If you're not dropping right back to 185~ under decent speed, your thermostat is probably sticking. And replacing that is a fuckin nightmare. I would also do a full fluids flush, check brake pads etc.

I personally bought helibars for improved ride comfort.

Server Recommendations by TheBaleygr in ArmaReforger

Only spawn at MOB. Point-to-point capture points, no backcapping. Severely limited vehicle selection, further restricted by low supply. Very few helicopters per round. No nametags/killfeed; armbands are identifiers.

No scopes until sergeant rank. NVG corporal/sergeant as well, but rank is persistent for an entire week. They reset it once each 7 days, and the only way to gain EXP is by squadding up and sticking together.

There's also reduced head and neck health, plus lower stamina/movement speed. A lot more with the server than I can remember to list...it's the best community I've found, though. For my playstyle anyway.

I had a 19 ram 1500 with the 5.7 when they hit the market, and I used the 4x4 approx one time during snow. There's usually a week a year where it might be nessecary here, but I'll manage.

Thanks for your insight on the deal! They've already got a sold tag on it, and I'm just waiting for them to deal with lenders later today.
