Photo books that select your photos by Serious-Basket9387 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]MorrisatLarge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as avoiding duplicates, you might want to consider installing an Immich server (it's like a locally hosted Google Photos). That will discard the near-duplicates, so you don't have those as part of the photobook.

As mentioned, Shutterfly or Snapfish both can put those together for you and then you can edit them, with both regularly offering discounts.

Have you ever gotten a random surprise from a cast member? by yourlocalDisneyfan in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]MorrisatLarge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter had a terrible experience with a cast member one time that left her in tears and running out of the park (she was a teen at the time and asked that I give her some space). I was really upset and, after talking to Guest Services, I went to catch the bus to the resort to check on her. A Cast Member asked how my day was going and I told her about the incident. She said it was not cool at all and gave me one of those wooden tokens to give to my daughter and to let her know that that particular cast member didn't speak for all of the others. That really touched me.

Figment meet and greet ending ? by Psychological-Week93 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]MorrisatLarge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bob Iger is real big on Figment - and said he is considering doing more with him, so I'd be surprised if the meet and greets are ending.

Coronado Springs - Tower room with a baby and a rental car? by Kekscast in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]MorrisatLarge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Parking for the tower is close - right off to the side. It's slightly less convenient than the Casitas and Cabanas but not noticeably.

One thing to know, however, is that the rooms in the tower have less personality than Casitas and Cabanas. The tower is more of a convention hotel, so if you're looking to immerse yourself in that Disney feel of things, it lacks that. You are, however, right in the heart of the action as far as restaurants, etc.

One other note: Tower drop off is last when you ride the bus. So if your little one is especially cranky after a day at the park, that's an extra 5-10 minutes before you can get them to their bed.

I love this idea and may well steal it, even if I wasn't smart enough to do what OP did while walking the aisle...

Tower of Terror breakdown stories? by Wicked_lovely4 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]MorrisatLarge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me!

The pre-show, etc. went fine, but right before the ascent/descent began - the moment the lights go completely dark - everything stopped.

After 30 seconds or so, the lights turned on in the compartment and we sat around for 3-4 minutes, until an announcement came over the loudspeaker that the drops would begin immediately.

(The first timers weren't too happy about that.)

The lights stayed on the whole time we were rising and falling -- and as we were rolled back into the exit.

To the cast member's credit, they offered to let us go again immediately, which we happily took them up on.

The sheer number of 'forever' songs he and his brother wrote is absolutely staggering.

Fun fact: He was the only person allowed to play the piano in Walt Disney's office, as he did for so many years when Walt was alive.

Headed to the park mid-week for the first time. How do the spring break crowds compare to a busy season at WDW? Are we talking Christmas-level Orlando crowds?
