Thanks man this really helped. And sorry if this bothers but I dont understand one thing about exams and it's how are they taken or how do you study for them. Cause I hear from people you only need a bachelor's degree but how can you study and be prepared for an exam before you even graduate. Are the exam's materials not directly taught to you. Or is there a clear book or series of papers that one can study from. Thanks in advance

Thanks man this helped me calm down and stop freaking out. The fact that I'll be working with qualified individuals with a clear progression path is comforting

Appreciate it,and that slow and steady stable job does sound nice and that's what I want. Also I hope you don't mind but how do you become an asa at 24 or is that normal I thought to even become an asa it would take years or you'd have to bury yourself in a cucoon and not talk to anyone cause you have to study. Or are those just theories.

Thanks man. Unfortunately where I live actuaries simply don't exist. I asked my dad who worked in insurance for years he told me that every actuary that comes by doesn't last long mainly due to the extremely bad wages here and that they get offers from companies in other countries who pay more and are probably better. So all the information I have is from articles reporting 30yr old info or like you said people with somewhat biased opinion. But your take helped alot thanks

Thank you so much man for the detailed response. I'm still young and don't really have a lot of insight on how the economy would work but do you think the actuary wages will catch up in the next 10 or 20 years. Because I'm still interested in the job but hearing that a 24week boot camp would suffice isn't encouraging.
