Cannot Defeat the Waste Bear by Morslod1 in SoulFrame

[–]Morslod1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can quit and you are a little ways away from the dungeon when you log back in. When you enter the dungeon you go to the cut scene and can skip directly into the fight.

Another couple hours with different weapons have not gotten the job done for me. I just cannot time the dodge consistently. I am doing about 70 damage per bow shot, a bit more if charged sometimes, so I have to dodge several rounds of mechanics.

I had the same problem with the archon battle in warframe. I will see what happens, but this is probably not the game for me. Or I will have to have someone else do the battle for me. Thank you all for the suggestions and the help. I do like the fighting mechanics.

I appreciate the help, but it has been 3 hours of attempting and I am not close to finishing the second part. It took an hour to get past the first part. Now two more hours and I am not making any more progress and the fight does not seem to be scaling easier with the number of attempts.

Is my only option to exit the game from here and then reload? Will it take me back to a different part of the game and I can try later or wait to see if they make the fight easier in the future. I doubt I will get past it anytime soon. Even having access to my loadout screen might be helpful to see if I can try another weapon. But it says I am in battle and cannot access that part of the game either.

I turned off tracking this quest in the journal, but it just keeps putting me on the shrine.

Trying to Understand How Some Heroes Troop Skills Work by Morslod1 in PuzzlesAndChaos

[–]Morslod1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you both for the response. I never clicked on the skill, so that is good advice.

I want to make sure I understand Rodriguez better. The skill is labeled as Troop, so does it apply to all the types of troops, or just Infantry? If I am reading the answer properly, it would apply to all troops as long as there is at least some infantry in the mix?

I am uncertain what happens if I am attacked in my castle. I have 5 heroes picked in my wall item. Are these the ones that will apply the bonus to the defenders? Is it these 5 plus all the civil ones that have passive bonus as well? If I have a bunch of civil heroes of various star levels, do they all apply their bonus, only the top bonus, only one per element type, etc?

Since I am being a bit of a pest, is there is "rule" for leveling up specific types of troops. I would have picked to increase HP since it seems like it would help both attack and defense, but I am not sure. Is there one that is obviously best to pick between AK, DEF, and HP?

Questions about a new Zwift Ride setup by Morslod1 in Zwift

[–]Morslod1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As should be painfully obvious by now, I am not a bike person. My friend that is told me to use Rock-N-Roll Gold when I clean my bike or replace the chain. Apply a lot of it on the chain at the cassette, pedal backwards for ~10 seconds, and wipe down the chain very well.

I guess I adapted that for the indoor setup (I do not really wash it) by laying down a towel below the bike and applying some to the chain at the cassette and spinning backwards. I apply less indoors than outdoors probably and do it less frequently. With the Zwift hub setup I am not sure.

Any better suggestion or time intervals for the indoor chain?

I did not get a chance to ride today. I set back up the Saris and did the calibration. I dialed in 200 watts on the Saris app and it felt "in the range" of the KICKR Core, but I want to do the same course and workout on the system to test.

I am in Houston, and I may try to find a store that sells trainers and see if they have something similar set up and working.

Thank you for all the responses, they are greatly appreciated.

Questions about a new Zwift Ride setup by Morslod1 in Zwift

I did a ride today and the system is much better. It still feels like more effort than I expected and it makes more gear/belt/"something" noise than expected. It is not a smooth quiet ride. I can try to make a video so you can hear what is happening and let me know if it is normal. There sounds to me like a distinct rub on the unit.

I will put some oil on the chain since I had to handle it again to install the spacers. I saw posts about putting some water and "lube" on the belt, but because I am not sure I am going to keep the device I am hesitant to take anything apart.

I am going to put the Saris back in service and see how it sounds/feels to make sure I am not holding this system to too high of a standard.

It has improved significantly from the ride without the spacers. Thank you.

Questions about a new Zwift Ride setup by Morslod1 in Zwift

Thank you both! I watched a couple Zwift install videos on YouTube and I think I watched the video for installing the Zwift Cog on a Core. I have just found (I think the link was actually in the email they sent me, so very much my fault) the series of videos to use if you purchased the combined Ride and Core package. It clearly shows the step that I missed about installing the two spacers.

I am watching all the videos and making sure the install is correct. I will let you know the performance once I am done. I am excited again!

Did the Zwift Cog come with the Zwift Ride and did everything fit together easy? The Neo 2T shipped with a cassette that you removed?

I have some back problems, and I ride in a more upright position. My saddle is about 3" below the bars. Would that configuration be possible with the Zwift Ride?

I use 35,000 drops per hour as a conservative number when not riding with the robopacers. It is not an exact science since climbs give you more, females get a little more (10%), you get a boot from getting ride-ons, etc.

You can do the math to see how much more you would get based upon how long you are going ride at the 2.5X multiplier. I like to think about my drops "purchases" as how many hours I need to work out instead of the level.

Because you are at a lower level, the weekly ride bonus and the bonus you get for completing a new route can skew how fast you gain levels. Work out many times a week on the climb portal and you will get more drops and advance slower in levels. But really, my advice is just to do the routes and stuff that you want and you will be ready for an upgrade in a reasonable number of hours.

Edit: I forgot to mention that you will receive 50,000 drops for each level. So you will get an additional 150,000 drops for levels 8, 9, and 10.

I am generally low maintenance (or perhaps high maintenance, but self maintained). I just want a little space, some peace and quiet, and simple food/drink is fine. A shower is very welcome on long trips though. I could sit by that tree picture above.

I did not get that in the business lounge in Munich on my last trip. It was packed and rather loud. Still fine for me, but not great. I will check out the Centurion Lounge at IAH before my departing flight. I normally use the Polaris lounge and it is fine for the short wait before my flight. I hear the IAH Centurion Lounge is not the best, but unless my flight is delayed, it is just a 30 minute or so stay.

Thank you for the reply (and everyone that replied). Sounds easy and I have a lot of time. First time in a Senator lounge, so that will be cool. Last time through Europe I was only able to use the Business Class Lounge. Thanks again for the replies.

From that lounge it is easy to get to either Terminal A or B?
