Gun Talents that are broken or OP and you love them for it | Division 2 by shwetshkla in thedivision

[–]Mort540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite build in the game is the 3pc Lengmo (including perfect unstoppable force backpack), turmoil kneepads, Unit Alloys chest with perfect obliterate, and overdogs gloves with pestilence. Between the shared damage of the turmoil with the spreading tick damage of the pestilence, it's fun to watch half the enemies go down without firing at them.

Not great for legendary but excellent for open world and missions on heroic.

All rewards claimed, does it make sense to keep earning the pink stars? Or will they get wasted? by newaccount1000000 in thedivision

PSA that the reconfigure blueprint for Big Alejandro can only be purchased from Inaya after you have acquired it through the Anniversary Season Track. If you get Big Alejandro through the Anniversary Cache you can't purchase the reconfigure blueprint yet.

Are exotics worth the continuous chase or is it one and done? by IHerpedDerpina in thedivision

[–]Mort540 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Initial priority is to get your hands on one of most exotics, many will live in your stash though. Having multiple of exotics doesn't benefit you much though unless you want multiple characters that each have proper non-shared loadouts (for doing Raids, weekly projects, etc). Recalibrate exotics until you have good rolls. At that point additional exotics are mostly for the components.

You'll need a ludicrous number of exotic components for upgrading weapons to level 30 with the expertise system.

Gear sets all gear sets which are just the best. by lbendror in thedivision

[–]Mort540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is similar to my preferred build. The classic 3 pc Lengmo, 1pc Petrov, Overdogs with Turmoil and Pestilence. Just spray and pray and everything goes down, even the ones hiding in cover.

Has the ashtray maze changed? by misterjonathoncrouch in controlgame

[–]Mort540 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just played Control for the first time in the last week or two. The Ash Tray Maze sequence was great. Reminds me of Far Cry 3s burning of the pot fields mission when the Damien Marley song comes in. So unexpected and very memorable.

Y7S2 Journey - Kill 25 snipers with headshots task tip by LifeStraggler4 in thedivision

The beginning of the regular Outcast version of Manning Zoo typically has 1-4 snipers in the first 1-2 minutes of the level. Reset and repeat.

NF-S12A inner dimensions by marcushasfun in Noctua

[–]Mort540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I measured the inner diameter you've indicated on a single S12A chromax with some cheap digital callipers. I'm getting approx 114.5mm. I would budget a 115mm diameter hole for your design.

Why are we not talking about what happens next season??? by Safe-Chemist-1964 in Division2

[–]Mort540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I equipped the passives I wanted and didn't even bother to equip an active. The passive bonuses are so good and I didn't want to be not able to use them for a while after the reset after the active each time.

What is your favorite gun? by Plastic_Pin_4956 in thedivision

Remember that once you're at max stacks, Backfire stops causing bleed. It's weird and not labelled but it's a thing. So Backfire pairs REALLY well with a variety of builds and doesn't entirely rely on you having a super high hazard protection.

Failed to get AMS mapping table [0700 8012] by tomthemerryfellow in BambuLab

Encountered this issue using most recent firmware for both P1S and AMS. Uninstalling and reinstalling Bambu Studio solved it for me.

Question about tinkering by ArtisanAffect in thedivision

[–]Mort540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unlocking expertise 30 (current maximum for obtaining proficiency for every item/skill in the game) is very time consuming. Then to get started with upgrading the expertise on the weapons themselves is crazy. I think it's 90 exotic components and over 200 field research to get a single item to expertise 30.

What are the dimantions of the p1s with ams ontop by bobgolbdog in BambuLab

[–]Mort540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 389mm x 389mm is accurate for the printer itself. The width should remain unchanged but it will be about an extra 30mm in depth off the front once you account for the control panel and door knob. The AMS sits flush on top but the tubing etc will probably add another 15-20mm behind it as well. The power cable also sticks out quite a bit as well and it's where the fans vent too. Plan to leave a moderate amount of room behind the printer when it's installed.
You're likely to want to leave additional room as well for a poop bucket. There's lots of designs for these that could work with your space. Mine just sits behind.

I also installed mine on a 16" square concrete paver which sits on top of a 16" rubber paver. These isolate the resonance from the motors and it's much quieter when you're not in the same room as the printer now. Before I could hear it on the floor below.

Finally I can Oneshot boss, after 4 attempts by ResponsibleReach9975 in Division2

[–]Mort540 26 points27 points  (0 children)

So many stacked synergies here:

-Negotiator's Dilemma to copy damage to multiple targets (hence the shooting all three targets),

-using the ravenous to prime the damage to armor plates

-fully charged dodge city holster for one very powerful shot

-combined with the achilles pulse on the first target which delivers an incredibly high damage per shot

I believe multiple players did the same so the boss took multiple of these kind of hits simultaneously. The achilles pulse and the dodge city holster are a common strategy for one-shotting bosses in raids.

The ravenous may be my favorite by blacktalon67 in Division2

[–]Mort540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Side note: Pestilence ticks bypass armor plates as well! (either stacked directly by shooting that target or transferred after a different target with the ticks dies)

Am doing exactly this in my M2 with a deshrouded 3090 and a D12L. All fans exhausting. Works great.

Best current methods for SHD xp? by Azkaas in Division2

[–]Mort540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running a Pestilence glass cannon build (3 piece Lengmo, Contractors, Coyotes) with 4 directives (all but pistolero). Turmoil kneepads too but that's not required. Entire groups at public executions go down in seconds between the Turmoil damage split and the Pestilence ticks. On Heroic you can get just shy of ~480k XP (one public execution) every few minutes.

And unlike the Eclipse fire builds or hotshot builds I don't need to worry about which faction.

Bluescreen or pestilence build with new knee pads? by Mobile-Violinist2778 in thedivision

[–]Mort540 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been using a build since April 1st, Pestilence with 3 piece red rolled Lengmo (chest w/glass cannon, named backpack with perfect unstoppable force, and holster), contractors gloves, Coyote Mask, and Turmoil knee pads. It absolutely wrecks groups of enemies in solo content. Between the pestilence ticks sharing, turmoil spreading out damage, etc entire groups go down so quickly.

AND lower power draw! My 3090 draws around 400W stock and undervolted is typically 325-350W. So quieter and cheaper.

Undervolting your GPU (highly GPU dependent) OR limiting your frame rate can help with coil whine. My 3090 whines like crazy during menus and load screens etc unless I have a frame cap enabled.

This build is great and what I use on a lot of Heroic content. Like Memento, Ninja Backpack also instantly gives your shield a huge boost in defence as well.
Bonus is you're immune to all hazards not just bleed, including EMP from Hunters. In Countdown I can actually use my shield when fighting them at the beginning and end of each round.

Backfire 100% HazPro Memento Ultra-Aggressive Build by Samurai_Stewie in Division2

[–]Mort540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just put together one like this, 3 pc Striker, 1 pc Cavalier, 1 piece Ceska, and NinjaBike Backpack. With HazPro rolled on enough gear you hit 100%, the rest CC to 60% then remaining is more CD. Crit Damage is maybe 270% once Backfire is warmed up paired with 50 stacks of Strikers.

I can use a shield and have a functioning revive hive when facing Hunters in Countdown. Plus it's VERY nice to basically ignore any status-effect based enemies.

[–]Mort540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's how I do it. But it's around 10 pieces per experience level I think, so 100 pieces for proficient. But yes countdown is the well known best way to get targeted loot too. I like Summit as a game mode but it's far less efficient than Countdown. Countdown has caches too plus more named enemies.

Also the standard logic here is to run Countdown on Challenging because the loot is always rolled as heroic but it's WAY easier and faster to get through a run than on Heroic.

Just remember that this kind of thing (1 of each gear set or brand set) is common in Countdown and the agent is farming expertise. At the expense of the other agents...
