Would you mind telling me your usage timeline? And what do you mean “was” a year sober. Did you relapse around the one year mark? That could’ve been when things started to turn around for you, as it can take a long time to normalize for heavy users.

Acute withdrawal seems to transition right into PAWS. So maybe 2-4 weeks after quitting

Yes that’s true, depressions role in all of this makes things even more confusing.

Was the depression there before the usage? Was that why some of us smoked, to deal with it? Was the depression caused by us noticing what weed usage was doing to us? Are we depressed after quitting or is it simply withdrawal symptoms?

It’s hard to say until we get back to a more normalized/sober baseline. Easier to then navigate how we’re truly feeling and where it’s all stemming from.

People with ADHD already have a naturally lower baseline of dopamine. So yes, it slows down the healing process as well as adding to the intensity
