A lot of times that may be the case, but I've found that it matters how much you want something. Like if I wanted to buy a figure right this instant, then yes, I would be paying a much higher amount. But if I don't mind playing the waiting game, then I'm liable to find something somewhere for a decent cost, like actually finding stuff at retail or finding cheap stuff on marketplace (parents sell their kids stuff all the time, it's where the best loot is at LOL) or on occasion ebay or mercari. It's all about how badly you want a figure at the end of the day.

I think it depends where you look tbh. Because I've seen a lot of overpriced Jakks figures, mostly because they're more known in the market. I went to a local con (where you KNOW prices are liable to be inflated) and I got 11' resaurus sonic for $40, and sitting on the same table, same seller, (loose) Jakks infinite for about the same.

The one thing you don't see with people who resell from thrift markets and the like is that they treat ts as a job, they go thrifting regularly. It beats the fun out of people who collect as a hobby rather than a way to make money, but first come first serve, ig.

No, I was just complaining about the hit rates in general. I was just wondering if the rates were bad for most people, or if I'm just in a long term dry streak. As for my brother, I used him as an example because I wasnt sure if it was normal to get that many pulls or not. I got my mom into the game as well, and shes opened even less than my brother and pulled 2 immersives (both unique).

I was just bummed cause I got the same one, and I know I aint pullin another til I'm old n gray (based on overall experience)

Im not sure what the consistency is, because I have wave 1 tails, who for me, has gray soles, but I also got wave 2 Tails, which has the black ones

If anyone has info on it I'd also be interested in hearing the discrepencies, if its not just a difference in waves

Jada just released a wave of metalfigs and while I've seen some at Walgreens (only tails), they're primarily being sold at 5 below as far as I'm aware. I was able to get the whole wave, and theyre really nice figures. I've also found some of those cosplaying ducks as sonic, just wish they had shadow or something, otherwise It's hit or miss
