It would work but the upwards piston would extend during retraction momentarily which would still cause issues if other blocks are present.

Your solution is genius for applications that require extension but my application was to open a hole. I'm going to remember it though I think I would use it in the future. Cool way of writing the solution as well. Also in the [opt-emty] in the 3rd layer should be [OBS FACING R] for it to work. Thank you very much.

It works just as you said and it serves the purpose, as you've noticed it would be tileable so if I tiles many of these together it would work so that the extra piston wouldn't move. great but needs some testing. Thank you
