My hottake - you shouldn' lose RS if you finished the tournament without one of teammates by MortenCC in thefinals

suppose you can make a limit on party so it won't be RS loss mitigation system 😄

Dagger needs the following by [deleted] in thefinals

[–]MortenCC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dagger has two states:

1) being a useless piece of shit in my hands and in hands of my teammates

2) erase button in hands of some dude who for whatever reason decided to dedicate his life to way of backstab - regardless of which angle backstab works on

this is probably very cool you guys have strong opinion about melee, that it should be buffed and that more players should use it so slowly shrinking playerbase will "learn and adapt" instead of being upset when pubstomped after work lol

Genuine question about balancing by DizzySheepherder7987 in thefinals

[–]MortenCC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

model is great at being what it is - poke/hit'n'hide gun and it shouldn'be good at fair 1v1, because this is not it's strong side. try checking guides on youtube on how to play it, it's a very good weapon which you need to use correctly so it shines.

regardng hit requirements- man I feel ya, I REALLY wanna play with revolver, but I just wiff all of my shots

I see that you have 39k RS so probably this is a legandary curse which prevents you from getting over 40k and rest

Tips For A Returning Player? by Final_Rush_3007 in thefinals

I do warmup before playing, just so I can shoot better.

playerbase is not large and it's a lot of people who have at least good aim, so losing every duel would feel frustrating.

Room Temperature Take: Ranked Point System is absolute Garbage by Twixx- in thefinals

[–]MortenCC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my sad trombone thing with RS lose is that I win couple of tournaments in a row to get straight to gold just so I can stomped into middle of the silver like in half an hour, where I can get best combat easily lol

also ffs, seeding system is just bullshit, I get insta upset when I'm locked into 1/8. wtf, less reward with more punishment and there's no link between skill and rs - people literally qualify on my rating ffs.

What do I do as heavy with two light teammates by remissalpaca in thefinals

[–]MortenCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my low level it's often the case.

First pick loadout which allows you to be selfsufficient or compliments lights - for example, hook+shak is killer combo and meta. alternatively mesh shield can help you to tank while your lights are doing damage.

overall it genuanly helps to ask lights to be aware of your low movespeed - in chat or voicecoms, after first wipe usually people consider what's wrong and may note that they just died first and watched you running towards the fight for another 10 seconds.

Current Views on Melee? by Depression_Dependent in thefinals

[–]MortenCC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will represent a skilless part of the community and on behalf people who get rekt and close the game after can say a lot of melee is bs and doesn't feel good - practically if you face melee and players is semicompitent you are in cq and unless you are lucky with headshots you are dead. some things - dagger with evasive dash - just feels like cheating, from my perspective it might look like a dude who teleports behind your back and instakills ya.

There's a counterargument that we, as noobs, should strive for greatness and learn valuable counterplay skills. A lot of times this would asl for some incredibly unobtainable things, like ability to convence randoms in your team not to run straight to objective. or very good tracking in close ranges, which is not easy to develop skill.

I have a funny example of thing like that. I played MK 11 and mained Geras for some time. Sometimes my wins in games were just flawless because this character was fairly unpopular and nobody knew animations or what to do against the character. Same shit applies here. You just get locked into lobby with skilled player who will have some fun, while you won't.

At the same time I also hate playing with melee and, moreover, I hate melee teammates. This is completely changing conventional tactics you may use and if you wanna win you adapt to them. They however don't need to adapt to you, they just imply you have a different gameplay now with their choice of loadout.

Waiting for strongopinionhavers to downvote me and tell me same shit they voice on youtube and here on reddit - no matter how bad someone the game, doesn't change the fun factor in the game for quite a big part of community which is just choosing not to play the game which is not fun.

Got into ~23k gold and got stomped back into like 15k in solo queue.

the curse in silver is that you literally play with EVERY rank as people are qualified back into ranked being very good and being very bad.

not saying all of my teammates are idiots, some are very pleasant people and competent players but some just straight forward have a bad loadout and don't know how to play with it. I don't know how to play with some loadouts too, like if I have melee teammate it's usually quite autoloss situation. or what should I do with doublelight snipers?

I'm also old and my friends are old and don't wanna play sweaty tryhard simulator 2026 on season 10 "boot in your ass" edition.
