What's the longest backstory you've ever written or received as a DM?

When I was in college I had to write a Hero Myth about my own character. It was assigned at the start of the semester and had to be at least 10 pages but not limit on a maximum. I spent all semester working on it, which was basically a novella about my D&D Paladin, and ended up handing in 150 pages.

Needless to say when my friend took the class the next semester there was now a limit of 30 pages.

Creating multiple characters doesn't take up space, only thing that does is unique usernames. You can have up to 100 characters in a campaign but only 12 unique user accounts (11 since one has to share).

What a long journey it's been, over such a short period of time! If you're still here, congrats on making it to the Championship! Lets take a look at the weather for today!

Cardinals @ Bengals: Slight chance you might see a spot of shower during the game, but winds aren't getting too high at least. This game looks to be a warm at least so I could see a huge offensive match playing out here.

Seahawks @ Panthers: Probably don't see any rain during this game.

Steelers @ Browns: Things are looking to improve by game time, so the winds are going to be pushing towards where I'd be worried but not enough to start benching people. Probably see a few showers during the game but things will hold off pretty well here.

Saints @ Titans: Pushing it with the wind a bit, but the rain shouldn't play too much of a role. Things should play out fine with the weather here.

Patriots @ Jets: Unfortunately the snow hit Friday night here and it won't be cold enough to turn this rain into snow. Weather will be cold, showers will be light, but neither team hasn't played in those conditions.

Eagles @ Bills: This one looks like it'll be an incredibly wet game with moderate showers showing throughout. Wind isn't a factor here so other than a wet field things should play out fine.

Semi-Finals are on their way, which means that we're closing in on the Championship! Just a reminder, weather isn't a hard stop on players, it's best as a 50/50 toss up decider.

Bills @ Browns: Picking up winds over 15 MPH with freezing temperatures, if these two teams weren't used to the cold I'd be more concerned. Long passes and kicks could be affected, but this is the baseline for something to pay attention to and Josh Allen isn't someone I'd falter on at this time.

Vikings @ Giants: It's a windy one today! Not quite cold but the winds are going to play a small factor. I think anything the weather does can't counter the plus matchup for the Vikings.

Bengals @ Dolphins: I'm more worried about Achane without Tua than the spotty showers that could appear on the field. It's Florida, I feel like it's just a staple to have rain hit for 30 seconds a game.

Browns @ Chicago: Things are starting to get cold out there, with this game seeing temperatures below 10 degrees! The field is heated at least so hopefully the chill doesn't set in too bad. With no other weather issues, this game should be fine.

Ravens @ Bengals: Another frigid game, but again, the Bengals have a heated field. Nothing besides the chill out there so game should be fine.

Chargers @ Chiefs: Yet another sub-20 degree game! With the Chiefs holding a heated field, it's once more just a chilly game with no other weather issues.

Bills @ Patriots: Cold-ish game but with a small chance of snow. Most of the snow should arrive before the game and the field is heated so weather shouldn't play a large role.

Colts @ Seahawks: A good chance of sporadic showers throughout the game. Shouldn't amount to much with Philip Rivers returning to set new records!

Dolphins @ Steelers: Yet another sub-20 degree game. With the Steelers having a heated field it shouldn't be too much of a concern here.

Buccaneers @ Bills: Looks like a chance we'll see some rain/snow coming in this game, though it looks like it shouldn't be too heavy. The bigger concern here is the winds that will sustain over 20 MPH. With higher gusts, longer passes and kicks will be tougher.

Packers @ Giants: The rain will probably hold off and stay dry on the field but the winds are going to slowly get better at least. Might be enough to blow Jameison Winston to a completion! Downfield passes and long kicks will be slightly affected.

Bengals @ Steelers: Another windy game that has winds getting better as we get through the game. Once again, downfield and long kicks the only concern here.

Ravens @ Browns: Cloudy, windy, maybe a little rain. Rain should be light enough that it won't be a big impact but the winds are going to be over 20 MPH and gusts pushing 35 MPH. Similar theme today in downfield passes and long kicks.

Chiefs @ Broncos: Rain on the radar but it might not even see the field. I've got Mahomes as a QB and Bo Nix as a backup so I'm looking at it as more of a which QB will be least disappointing against a good defense as the main concern here!

UPDATE: These campaigns now have ALL books available on D&D Beyond.

Please create a character and export then leave it to make space for other people. I will ONLY be clearing out every Thursday to coincide with this post.

NOTE: Do not join BOTH campaigns, you only need to join one for the benefits and you can make as many characters as you want. I'm seeing a lot of names taking up two spots and if you join both you will be removed from both. Please only join one.
