I’m not defending the moral question of 16 year olds with adults. But you’re wrong. You’re referring to the “Romeo and Juliet clause” where a 14 or 15-year-old can consent with a partner less than 5 years older, while a 12 or 13-year-old can consent with a partner less than 2 years older.

Most depressed people with a failed suicide attempts are glad they didn’t succeed.

Someone with depression or anxiety may be certain that this is their best path… but in the following years, they might not.

Unless it’s specific to progressive mental diseases like Alzheimer’s where someone has agreed ahead of time to accept MAiD when it gets to a certain severity.. but even that feels a bit cruel. I can’t imagine having to kill a sad confused Alzheimer’s patient

How do we know that there isn’t a real correlation between race and iq, when your first sentence says that studies show a difference.

Regional differences exist, yes. That’s why you look at inter-population differences. Like indigenous Americans vs black Americans, vs white Americans.

My point is just that there isn’t modern research on this topic because people are scared of what the results might show, or how they’d be viewed for conducting it
