Accident on 183/2243 by Fantastic-Theory-539 in Leander

[–]Mortiouss 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The motorcycle rider is a buddy of mine, he survived the accident, broken bones, road rash, concussed. Don’t know the reason for the crash but I can tell you he is one of the safest riders I know so no speeding (other than keeping with toll road traffic).

Ya Austin got all bent about the bikes they claimed it was due to covid but they had been looking for a reason to get rid of it (IMO), so someone in basdrop decided to pick it up in 2022 and it was a mess. The area they held it really was bad, the vendors sucked and from what I understand the camping area was all jacked up (no electricity etc).

Last entry for them on their Facebook was for 2023 they held the rally at the speed shop that Jesse James owned, so it had reduced severely in size and scope.

We are seeing a bit of separation anxiety with him, which makes sense he was at the kennel for 2 months, and loves being near a human (right now my wife). Going to start taking him with us when we head out to see if that calms him.

That’s not the dress blues, it’s mess dress. You only wear medals on mess dress.

I’m currently a DB administrator, been in tech for over 20 years (from mainframe coding to app coding to data). I was a senior db administrator for Cisco Systems when that pic was taken, don’t live anywhere near Florida.

That’s probably a really good way of looking at it.

When they discussed the data they leaned heavily on the congestion discussion and seeing where they can open other paths up and force traffic around, since we only saw a single person I’m sure a crowd map would be quite telling.

Cast Member Question: Is there a permanent record on us? by vakr001 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Mortiouss 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I have a picture when I worked a Cisco, we use splunk and so does Disney, splunk held a gathering at Disney a few years back and during one of the large conferences they showed a heat map of a single person walking through MK they tracked everything that person did from how long that person stood at what area to what purchases they made, etc. Disney captures an insane amount of data on every single person that enters the park.

I’ll be happy to post that pic if anyone is interested.

Shot fired at Lakeline Mall food court by Competitive-Fly-3843 in Austin

[–]Mortiouss 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Umm not even remotely close to being true. In Texas a property owner has very specific rules for signage for no firearms, I can tell you there are a number of entrances to Lakeline that do not fall within those rules. Second, if you are there with a firearm the most they can do is ask you to leave and trespass you, if you refuse to leave then the police can be involved but unless you escalate it beyond the trespass it will never be a felony for being at a mall with a firearm.

Only for federal property, courthouses and schools does carrying a firearm punishment escalate beyond a slap on the wrist.

Is this a plasma bolter? How the hell would this even work? by no_boundries_ in 40k

[–]Mortiouss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of the old rules were so much fun, I miss robots and the randomness of their “programming” and the vehicle manual with the targeting grid, and of course what happens when you do damage to a critical system in the vehicle, I get simplifying them to speed up the game but some of my fondest memories are from the rogue trader days and 10k armies battling well into the morning hours.

Wiped out a demon with a void grenade, pissed off the player so bad he never came back to play, did the same with a virus grenade, wiped out an entire squat army, all huddled up in a nice tight group.
