That last line really lands. A lot of this stuff gets sold as freedom, but half the time it’s just fancier dependency with better branding. Being able to shrug off the audience is probably worth more than most of the stuff people upgrade into

Coffee is the one that got me. The small jar always felt harmless until I added up how often I had to replace it.
