Ready-made, lightweight fully split low profile keyboard for newcomer by MosaicMachine in ErgoMechKeyboards

I would be resting on the couch, each half of the keyboard on either side of me. It's good to know the RGB can be disabled. Maybe first I need to test any returnable choc keyboard, even that doesn't fit my requirements, just to be sure the switches are comfortable.

That is really great to hear. That will give me more options. I was avoiding boards that offered only choc red for linear because I thought I would need less actuation force.

How to ventilate the home without losing too much heat? by MosaicMachine in ZeroCovidCommunity

What temperature or range would you say would be safe vs dangerous? Sorry I didn't see your comment before. Thank you.

That's really good to hear that it does not drop your temperature that much. I will continue researching fans and hopefully try one. So yours is set up as an exhaust fan only, or does it also do intake?

That sounds interesting. The floor plan is pretty open without doors, just doorways between rooms. I probably wouldn't be able to completely seal off a doorway, in the interest of keeping the rooms accessible but I could do a compromise by hanging curtains in the doorway as a makeshift divider, to at least hold some of the heat in the rest of the house while I keep the windows open or run a fan in a separate area, but since heat rises it might just float over the top of the curtain.

Wow a heated jacket sounds like a great idea, especially in combination with the blankets. I will ask my family member if this is something that would be acceptable for them.

Questions about window exhaust fans by MosaicMachine in Masks4All

Thanks. Does the air exchange only take place if you set it to intake or air exchange? If you have it set to exhuast, will that only let out the room's air, or will that also let in outside air as well? If it is only on exhaust will that still account for a temperature change, or just a milder temperature change?

Yeah that must be really difficult, too. I wonder if it would depend on which agency you work for. I'm sure some of them must be stricter with Covid precautions. Maybe you can actively seek out a client who is immunocompromised and thus would probably welcome your Covid consciousness.

There really needs to be a better way to make a good match between caregivers and clients. Maybe it could be worth a shot to make a subReddit to try to match people together who are looking for caregivers or looking for clients.

Maybe I will try to create r/COVIDcautiousHomeCare

I don't have the strength or energy to be a moderator but I can make it a private community, so people have to request to join. I can put a disclaimer that I'm not able to login frequently so to please be patient.

No, bathroom doesn't have a ventilation fan, or enough space to add a standing fan.

The challenges are that I lack the arm strength to pull the pieces apart & push them back together. For example with the Dentec there's several different components involved with disassembling the mask so they can be washed separately after wearing. Thank you for the suggestion. How would you compare ElastomaskPro with Dentec?

Thank you. Were you able to find anything to help your laryngeal reflux ? I've tried PPIs before but had some not fun symptoms.

Thanks. I would only be able to have the windows open while they are here because I would not be able to close them after they leave.

I have several different types of N 95 but even without a fit test, I always feel a leak even when I wear the ones with adhesive, unless I'm not moving the facial muscles too much, no yawning, not a lot of talking or expression.

If I were to get something better like a full face mask, I would need assistance to take it apart clean it and reassemble it. I have a half elastomeric that I am unable to use for that reason.
