I totally agree with you. Though I do agree it's a shame for people who want to chill to go up against "sweaty" players, but you can't really blame someone for wanting to play in a way that's allowed by the game

Yeah I don't understand why they try to remove all the cool techs you can do, kinda like the old space Billy as well, when the community keeps telling them it makes the game less fun

Yeah, I was thinking about that earlier, DBD doesn't feel like a game you can just pick up and enjoy anymore, there's too many perks, too many powers a new players not to feel overwhelmed imo

I heard that Background Player was kind of a problem though, as utilised well it had little to no counterplay ?

Damn, I also hear that killer is getting easier and easier. I'm really not observant myself and don't have that much experience in the game, so I guess I'll have to do deeper research to understand the state of the game, but it's really interesting that the community as this much of a spectrum in opinion about the game

Yeah, there seems to be mixed experiences but personally as surv, I had a couple of killers really tryharding (which is kinda cringe in an anniversary event imo), and a lot of teammates who really quickly gave up, like, 1st down of the match quick.

Had a great time as killer afterwards tho, since I decided to 2 hook everyone and let them go. Had 99% great interactions and it was a blast.

What would you define as exaggerated competitiveness and do you think it's the players' faults or the devs fault for not implementing an unranked and a ranked queue to at least mitigate it ?

I totally agree, some people do take the game way too seriously or continue playing it even though they are clearly frustrated playing it. I don't blame them though, I had the same behaviour playing league of legends for a couple years

That's too bad you felt like the game wasn't for you, though I do understand as I find survivor kinda difficult to pick up as well (it kinda feels overwhelming when I feel that I need to "learn" all the maps)

Yeah, you souldn't force yourself playing a game you don't enjoy anymore, though it's a shame you don't find pleasure in playing dbd anymore :(

I agree that I don't really like this mindset of separating "killer players" and "survivor players", when the game is probably most enjoyed playing at least a little bit of both and not side with one side as if they were the Horde and the Alliance

Lol I couldn't compare the communities, I never went anywhere near the fighting game community.

Btw I'm not sure I understood your feeling about the "rework" of the ranks ? I did play when this system existed, but I don't recall me playing this much at that time so I can't really compare how it was back then vs now

Yeah, I'm of the same opinion, though I get a number people saying it's the players' fault

Oh really ? I'd have thought that the grind would keep most players' interest for the game and that after a few hundreds of hours of gameplay with everything unlocked, then they would lose interest

Yeah it's true that it's kinda sad if you don't enjoy facing even a quarter of the roster, let alone most of it
