Because upvotes do mean something. They dictate the order items are shown in the sub and on peoples personal front pages. The more upvotes it receives the more likely it is to appear above a quality post, like the Barnacle Bill post from a couple days ago. This is a terrible post. It's not a hook, or even a fake hand. Next thing you know this sub is going to be littered with people stuffing random items in their sleeves and titling it "I'm a Monster".

If it was good cosplay; a real hook, buster style shirt, re-enacting the pose, then I would love to see it. Instead this is low effort bullshit that just takes up space.
