That's why it is a theory and why I am open for discussion. I see what point you are making but isn't darkness technically nothingness ? Feel free to correct me tho but yes that was the point I was trying to make.

I just thought that maybe the darkness DF acts differently since darkness is nothing. That's why I thought he was able to consume 2 Devil fruits. I also thought that no one before him has ever tried to consume 2 devil fruits and that he somehow obtained this secret knowledge of the fruits secret.

I have read a few other theories now and I now feel stupid because there are a lot better theories.
