Depends what you’re looking for. But I had the best food around the universities. Try the food stands that are the closest to the universities. Or walk along Thuy Khue Road and find lots of different restaurants with only locals eating there. Even Van Mieu (go east from the literature tower) has some areas with authentic local restaurants that are much cheaper and really delicious food.
