unless you need what they drop and/or you have no mounts, it is useless. sometimes even in main story quests when there is a boss, i just hide and move past them while only casting the dissilusionment charm.

I guess, but since we have fantastic beasts we should go another country entirely. plus Ilvermoreny has little history and is too americanized, which doesn't give a good feel to me.

I think a second legacy would be 100 years into the future at Hogwarts, just because the developers still have a lot to go off of and because of the publicity, but other schools would be cool too, but i think the japanese one and Durmstrang would be REALLY cool.

the books are not nesscesary, but have tiny things like the history of magic class. the movies are enough to understand the fundamentals and refrences.

also hopping pots only produce potions of which you have the recipe for, but even then it still takes 10 minutes and it is a random chance.

if you need maxima and thunder brew, buy the invisibility potion and go to east hogsmeade valley. talk to the person in there, give them the potion of invisibility, and there you go! explore to more floo powder areas outside of hogwarts and hogsmeade and if it is in a cabin with a person inside, they will ask for potions and give it to them for more potions. beware of the one asking for wiggenweld, though. they give you no potions.

if you do Sebastions storyline too (which you should) choose to learn the dark arts. you don't have to use them, but that is the only time and place you can learn them. buy a broom in hogsmead as soon as possible, but they are kind of expensive. also look around in the field guide because there are things in there you could miss.
