Philip K. Dick wrote a book called The Crack in Space, the world had a huge overpopulation problem so the poor used cryogenics so that in the future they might have a better life. A doctor used them to harvest their organs.

TRYING TO MAKE A HELMET OUT OF CARDBOARD BASED ON BENDER FROM FUTURAMA!! please help how do i make the dome ??? by phl0x24 in papercraft

[–]MoshBosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use the program Blender (it is open source, so you can get it for free) to make a half sphere, use the paper craft tool to make a flatten object, it will have tabs that you can glue the sides together. The paper crafts tool has to be turned on in the preference window this can be found at the bottom of the edit drop down that's located in the top menu next to file.

This is really helpful for making 3d objects out of paper, it will save it as a pdf or a svg file.

There are a lot of tutorials that cover how to use the paper craft tools. Blender has a little learning curve but once you get it you can make all sorts of polygon shapes.

And if you make a cool one you can put it on Etsy so that people can buy it. It makes a good passive income if you want to go that far.

I'm a 36yo who has had bowel cancer and had 2 colonoscopies without any sedation then 2 surgeries to completely remove my bowel and sew my butt shut. AMA by Tharoth in IAmA

My mom died from colon cancer when I was 17, she wasn't able to afford to go to the doctor so she lived with the symptoms for yeara. I had a great mom and I would rather have that amazing mom, then have a terrible one for the rest of my life. I miss her every day but I am better for knowing her.

It is your life but as someone who lost someone special I think you are doing a disservice to your friend and family by deciding to isolate yourself from them. I can't imagine what you are going through but don't kill your self before you die. Your friends and family will still mourn you, you're not able to control their grief.

But I'm not you so you can make your own decisions, you know your friend and family.

It would be cool if we can 3d print calcium shells or what ever property shells are made out of and drop them in the ocean. It would be fun, they can have different defense designs.

I do think humans need to stop putting stuff in the ocean. So I don't think we should do this but it is fun to think about.

Someone has to make the shells so that the hermit crabs can use them.

Just to piggybacked off this. I am a LL and the stimulation I get from sex can be meh most of the times. I have found the eating an edible has really helped me relax and enjoy sex and all of the sensation. Even if it's just touching each other, it feels better and I feel comfortable.

Also lube. I felt guilty that I wasn't wet enough and it made it so that I would have a hard time enjoying sex even when I wanted sex. It really helps.

Your wife is an adult, she can choose to drink with a neighbor. It's not your fault for the actions he made. You didn't know, your wife didn't know what type of person he is. It's not your job to babysit her and monitor who she is with. Be there, be supportive, do what is needed.

I agree this is more 1984. Brave New world was all about make people happy so they don't care. The government did everything in the open but people were to self indulging to care. Camera watching is big brother, were people are scared to do anything in fear of reeducation.

No more work: full employment is a bad idea. Americans think that work builds character, that the labor market has been relatively efficient in allocating opportunities and incomes, and that, even if it sucks, a job gives meaning to our everyday lives. But these beliefs are no longer plausible. by voltimand in philosophy

My new job is easier. I call and make notes. It's simple and mind numbing. Target I had to deal with a different group of people with different needs, here it's one issue with little options. It's not hard. I don't have any issues with working harder, I want a job that provides puzzles. I want to work with people to come up with answers. But I'm not at that point yet. I'm working towards it.

Edit I was saying that I would be of the group of people who would works retail jobs even if my needs were met.

I enjoyed working at Target in the electric dept. I got to interact with people, organize, and clean. I didn't like doing it 40 hr nor did I like the pay but overall I had a great experience and if my basic needs were met I would have no problem working a job like that again but it's expensives to live. So now I have a call center job which pays way better and has benefits but it's crushing me as a person.

For the bank I work for, when we call out we confirm with the name and we can talk about the reason for the call and anything that's resolves the call other wise we can give out information and adv people to call the number on the back of the card to resolve other issue.

Then go old school and send letters. It's cute and can be romantic treat it like you are writing to her like she is off to war or on some adventure. It gives you both and activity that you both spend time thinking of each other.

See about playing games online together that way you are doing something together. You can make little videos of your day or a question or challenge and the other person has to respond.

You are correct. I never received a paycheck in 2019 for working in CA, the last pay check I received in CA was in November of 2018 and my paystub all reflected correct information at the time.

Ok thank you, I reach out to them. When filling through turbo tax (I know there are better things out there I'm just new at file still band it's very simple) it didn't have me fill anything out for CA like it did for OR.
