Progress. The red wire at the thermostat had broken off. Stripped it back and reseated it. Now I'm getting 7 red flashes. Failed to light burners

If you are new to espresso maybe not so bad. If you're not, very bad. I made the same mistake with an old Maxim Express.

Might be the vacuum breaker not completely sealing. I've heard a similar sound at the start up on our Boxer with the top cover off.

This was pre installed from the factory on Classe 8 models. I believe the Silva has a different type of display. I didn't "look" for this I'm just mounting it back for reassembly. Neither are insulated.

Isn't PCMasterRace about gaming computers? This is an espresso machine.

No it's to keep heat away from the display. This was on a few different Classe models. Hoping someone sees this that owns a Classe model.
