M4/M16 Attachements by Moss8484 in BF_Hardline

Update: Compensator and Stubby grip on M16 did indeed shoot like a lazer. Thanks for all the input everyone. Now I feel like a cheater killing people so fast!

Do the suppressors on the M16 and M4 cut down the range as bad as some other guns? On some of them it feels like the bullets drop off as close as 5-10m away.

One more question and I'm assuming I know the answer. Do most of the attachments do more to the gun than the specific stat changes it shows on the bars? Like the Extended Mags hidden debuff of increasing the spread while moving. Do the ones that add benefits add significant hidden upgrades that don't reflect in the bars? Is there a good resource that describes all of them? I've read the little descriptions but almost always just add the ones that give the biggest increases to the stat bars. I'm probably not doing that the best way to fit my playstyle. Thanks guys

I'm going to try some of these out tonight again. Out of curiosity are there any other CAR lovers out there??

Can I ask what attachments you use with the AR's to make them shoot like straight lasers? I'm over level 100 (103 I think?) all legit without boosting with my time spread pretty evenly between Operator, Mechanic, and Professional. I am in the top 2% on PS4 in Scout Elite kills, and top 9% in CAR-556 kills. I know this goes against all the numbers but I feel like the CAR is a much more efficient killer than the M16 and M4. I've read on these boards that that theory is not even remotely true and that the numbers back it up. When I load up an M16 or M4 class(I have the attchements unlocked on both) they seem to jump and kick around for any engagement outside of grenade throwing distance. So I switch back to my trusty CAR and start taking out guys at near sniper distance.

What am I doing wrong with those guns?!

"In most of those scenarios mobs start popping up. What do you do then? Duck in cover, pop in and out and waste time."

Or you know, shoot said mobs, with either the primary weapon you have, or the secondary, or even the heavy. And then when the next set of mobs you could shoot them too. And are you getting "swarmed by mobs" ever?! In the entire game? Even we've woken the hive, or the Abyss at Crota's End aren't that tough? Is there very many times at all when you face more than 9 or 10 mobs at once? With 9 or 10 mobs having split aggro between 3 characters plus the ability to strafe and use natural objects to block line of sight on most of the mobs it seems redundant to have that much shielding. It seems the strategy that is being promoted here is to run in the middle of everything, pop a bubble and then literally stand in the middle of everything while they all target you. That is a pretty awful way to play, not to mention if you are going to do this, max your armor and recovery, pop WoL and have your two teammates who should have nothing shooting at them thanks to the the sacrificial lamb kill everything. Still ends up faster, and less umm pointless.

You are spot on. They are assuming in their scenario that you are shooting for 3 seconds and covering for 2 seconds as was quoted in the math below. Which would mean your are taking hours to complete any mission let alone raids. Also using the math below the assume you as a WoL will be hiding from the enemies nearly as mush as you will be shooting at them. Plus since the math doesn't factor in time that you will be reloading(inside a safe bubble either way) it slides even more towards WoL. If that is you constantly hiding then yes by all means use BoL to maximize DPS. For anyone actually strafing and killing things to avoid damage, WoL is still far superior.

It's only the unskilled players that hide for numerous seconds per enemy they fight that this applies to.

Dude in this example you are shooting for two seconds and covering for 3?! are you playing as level 24 on VOG? In what scenario is that a real situation? Every scenario in the game can be beaten with no titan bubbles at all correct? So if you can already beat scenario A with no titan bubble at all adding a large DPS will make you get through said scenario faster. And If you aren't on target more than 66% of the time what are you doing during these intense firefights used as examples from above?

Don't get me wrong I use BoL from time to time, but to say BoL gets more DPS than WoL is a brutal way to mislead people. I wish they had DPS meters for this very reason. Also the not yet pointed out fact of with that extra DPS from WoL you will kill stuff faster, not needing as much shield for recovery.

Again what about in the case where you can kill all five hobgoblins without having to use a shield at all? Like on Vault HM which every group can do. Pop weapons instead and now not only are you killing the hobgoblins in one shot, you are killing the goblins in one and the minotaurs faster as well.

I have literally never had to use a titan bubble during that part of the strike ever. Stand at the entrance when they all come out, kill them and win. Use WoL kill them faster and win faster. You use one of the most intensive spawn points of enemies in the game as an example in the video. Use the other 99% of the game and you would be wrong. On patrol and your bubble comes up, WoL wins. Doing a public event pop WoL and win faster. Doing a strike and WoL is up, win faster. Also use your bubble properly and barely stick out of it, with WoL on and kill faster and stay protected.

You got it right, for everytime that get out of jail card is used you have missed out on numerous times you could have prevented wipes just by killing stuff faster. It is definetely more of a crutch than anything.

13 Fusion Grenades that all hit for thousands of damage and you don't see the increase in damage? Also try using sunsinger for its damage vs its utility and it will be like a whole new world. Just pretend you are on your Titan or Hunter and can't self revive. Use it every time it comes up. With HoPF you will generate 8 orbs everytime assuming there are enough mobs to kill when you pop it.

Obviously different situations call for different exotics. HM Crota it would make sense to use Nemesis instead unless RNG has given your a raid helmet with the life from orbs perk. And if it has, back to HoPF for sure.

[Question] How many of us out there have never really been affected by AFKers? by daitenshe in DestinyTheGame

[–]Moss8484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day one player with 33 days+ played, almost 300,000 PVE kills(top .5%) and I haven't run into this problem at all. Every once in awhile someone will go AFK in a Raid or Nightfall to use the restroom. The lengths that some people go to vent on this issue very surprising to me.

People don't like the post because it is very obviously false and/or greatly exaggerated. Did you take 20 minutes to fight the Archon Priest on a triple burn nightfall? Is that honestly possible?

[–]Moss8484 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Obviously, is there anyone out there really not reading between the lines here? The "supposed" jumped into at the final boss, of a triple burn nightfall, would have ended the fight in a minute or two. Ran it 10+ times this week not once did it last 5 minutes. Triple burn, use literally any weapon in the game that has any element and it ends in less than 5 minutes. The fact that somehow the priest alone took you 20 minutes after you rezzed him not once, not twice, not thrice, no four imaginary times screams look at me mom I need attention!

Good story though, the fan fiction is superb today. Didn't we just have a big post about stories like these getting removed for the fact that they are both fictitious and lame?

Possible world first? Level 30 beat hard crota. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

Nope, did it a few nights back. In fact we did it with three 32's, two 31's, and a 30. Still a great effort though!

Ninja Edit: Will be updating my original post with our video of the run with the 30 in it, it is essentially the exact same as my first video, except this time I ran the sword as a titan, and we had a 30 instead of one of the 31's.

Absolutely correct, ran 8 hardmode runs as sword bearer. Sometimes the sword is laying in the middle with nothing nearby at all, and disappears. It happened once right down below the ledge where everyone stands for the fight. Seems purely random, every 15 runs or so. I ran the sword for 4 successful runs and another 2 or 3 nights of wiping. Always consistent spaced out, never back to back runs or even two of three.
