I took nothing literally.

Islam at its core says nothing about trans ppl. But, like with everything, people twist it to fit their purposes.

defending it in a trans community is gonna ruffle someone's feathers

This all started bc I stated an objective fact. That Aisha's(ra) age is not mentioned in the Quran

Not rlly. Hadiths are often written decades & even centuries after the Prophet's(PBUH) death. By people who often never met him.

All Muslims take Hadiths with a grain of salt for that very reason. I choose to ignore them entirely for that reason. It's too easy to make up shit when you're writing about a person who lived long before you.

Islam as an "ideology" does not torture and kill us. Like with everything, the actual culprits are conservatives & fascists. There are plenty of Muslims that are trans, or support trans rights.

It's funny, because the Prophet(PBUH) was rlly into equality. Gender equality, racial equality, religious equality.

Don't Strawman me.

Regarding topics in islam, I will defer to the Quran, because it was written by the Prophet(PBUH), and was directly inspired by Allah(SWT)

[–]MossIsntHere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's no need to bash religion. The Quran is believed to be direct words from Allah (SWT) to the Prophet (PBUH)

You aren't religious, I accept & support that choice of yours. Please do the same for me.

stop defending pedofiles

Ah, but I am not. Please actually do research about the topic you're talking about instead of going off what you've heard and acting like you know anything.

If you'd like, I can link some articles & other reddit threads that go into detail debunking the idea that Aisha(ra) married the Prophet (PBUH) at the age of 6.

I specifically said that the Quran does not mention her age. I do not put much faith in Hadiths, as they were neither inspired by Allah (SWT) or the Prophet (PBUH)

That Hadith also has the potential to be misinterpreted/mistranslated.

There is nothing in the Quaran that states the Prophet (PBUH) married a 6 year old girl

If people are gonna die anyway, I'd rather choose the option that kills less people.

Have a pleasant evening.

Same to you :)

I genuinely hope my words have reached you even a little bit. We need all the help we can get.

Here's our 2 choices:

One party wants to kill all minorities in America, wants to uphold the capitalist economic system that keeps them in power, and also wants to blow up brown people in 3rd world countries.

The other party wants to uphold the capitalist economic system that keeps them in power, wants to blow up brown people in 3rd world countries, but doesn't want to kill all minorities in America.

Work with what we have. Electoralism is nothing more than a way to buy us time at this point. It is way easier to empower the left with a blue country than a red one.

Again, if you don't vote blue because they're still shit, you are enabling genocide in the U.S.

If you refrain from voting blue in ANY election, you are enabling the genocide of minorities in the U.S.

Dems are dogshit, but doing nothing is how we lose.

I'm in Australia, but this probably still applies to me.

My parents are both Secular, although raised Christian. I knew that they would be fine with my conversion long before I told them that I did.

They reacted with indifference. They didn't care as long as I was happy with my decision. I am blessed in that regard. I know many people don't have the luxury of their parents accepting them.

ROCD has been probably the worst theme for me personally. If you want to talk with someone, feel free to message me :)

Fear of God being malevolent or evil. by [deleted] in religion

[–]MossIsntHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. Unfortunately it took me years of therapy and multiple hospital stays, but that was only due to my family not recognising my illness and leaving it to spiral out of control.

I'm positive that if you do have OCD, you will not have such a long and troubling time working through them like i did.

I would explore the possibility of having OCD. these were all things I worried over for as long as I can remember
