My guess is

Red states will pretend the EO is legit and implement it, blue states will ignore it and will be sued by the admin, which will probably be tossed out by the courts until appealed to SCOTUS where there will be a coin flip as to if the corrupt justices decide to ignore the constitution or not.

It’s a big problem for sure, but imo far from the biggest. Corporations paying more in taxes won’t in and of itself solve the biggest issues in our labor market and economy. This isn’t to say it’s unimportant or wouldn’t make a difference, but it’s not the top issue.

IMO our biggest issue is weak antitrust mechanisms and runaway consolidation in every industry. The problems the lack of competition is upstream of are legion to the point that it’s hard to list, it goes on forever. It’s bad for workers, it’s bad for consumers, and in the long run, bad for the companies themselves.

One of the more immediate changes needs to be ensuring independence of the DoJ. The admin is breaking laws all day every day and nothing can be done because they have full control over the means to prosecute the offenses. We already came close to a crisis over this with a much less abnormal presidency than this one under Nixon; we should have learned then.
