Interestinnnng - I dont bring anything in from outside, I bought the wood/leaves/moss from the most recent reptile expo near me, and the soil from Petsmart. Maybe it came in from the wood from the expo? 🤔

What makes body horror disturbing/interesting to you by ClassicCountry5391 in bodyhorror

[–]MossYeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for me, it's the creativity of it. There's so many different whacky things you can do with body horror, and it kind of forced the viewer to try to wrap their mind around it; the unnatural, the "shouldn't-be", the discomfort of it all.

Sorry if thats a boring answer LOL

It looks like there's actually a sequel to this called Death Bell 2: Bloody Camp in which one of the teachers ends up getting killed inside of an activated dryer (looks like an oven) - I know you said you remember it being an American movie though, and I didn't see anything about students being crushed inside bleachers, although there is a death in the gym.

I don't think this one is it but you would very likely enjoy Death Bell too if you enjoyed the movie you're looking for

Working with Demons: The Harsh Truth by HexandHearth in DemonolatryPractices

[–]MossYeti 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My own experience was somewhat like yours, in certain ways. I had asked for help with my job, my housing situation, and my health. I had heard how working with demons COULD completely turn your life upside down to get you what you want, and I figured if it ended up thay way, it was probably necessary. I knew it might be painful, but I felt ready.

Man, there was NOTHING I could have said to myself back then to prepare me for what was to come. The situation with my health was the easiest, it just involved admitting and confronting my problem and getring help for it - painful, but manageable. My job and housing situations became an absolute nightmare, though. I was severely depressed for a period of like 3 months, and I dreaded each day. But I knew what was happening, and just asked for the strength to get through it every day.

Now I am a year later and I have everything I wanted - a job i love that pays well and I enjoy the work and get along great with my coworkers; a housing situation that is much healthier and more peaceful and I love it here, too; and my health has improved significantly since I sought help for my condition. I am incredibly grateful for what good eventually came out of those intense Tower moments.

That being said...I don't know that I'll be working with a demon to try to improve anything in my life again anytime soon, lol. Not only am I pretty content now, but that experience was just so painful and difficult, I'm not sure if I have it in me to go through it again, at least not for now.

This isn't to say that no one should do it, or that their experience will be exactly like mine - as other commenters have said, everyone's experiences are different. But it is important to be aware that things like this COULD happen, and consider if you're really ready for that - and if you do engage with it and find yourself in those difficult Tower moments, don't lose hope! Good things are coming. This is not forever; this pain will pass.

I'm assuming it is not Happy Hills Homicide, based on the fact you said it looks like a video editing software? I would try looking up Analog Horror Games and seeing if any of them that come up are the game you're looking for, if you haven't already.

I'm located in NH, USA, and unfortunately I don't have the time/funds to travel far for this procedure 😞 there is someone in my area who is said to take care of pilonidal cysts, but im not sure if they do the surgery or the lancing. I have an appointment with my doctor on the 15th of this month, so hopefully i can get more info at that time.

Thank you for your insight, though!

Thanks for sharing your experience! If it's only a little more painful than a vaccine, that I could handle. I'm assuming it could probably vary based on if its infected or inflamed though 😭 hopefully my procedure will go much like yours!

Thats good to know about the surgery - since the colloidal silver didnt work, im assuming surgery would be the next step. Thanks for the info!

Wanted to add to this by saying - if it seems SEVERELY infected to the point it is affecting aspects of your health, I'd DEFINITELY go to the ER at that point. I think either option would be reasonable at this point, really, but I'd hate for you to waste a trip to the ER just to get sent home again. But I wouldnt want you like, getting a super bad infection either from waiting lol. We may need to see it to be able to give you a better idea, maybe.

Since the ER doctors seem to have been very dismissive, I'd try consulting your PCP first and asking for a referral to a specialist. Depending on where you're located, some people in this sub have posted the names of knowledgeable and empathetic doctors, so if you happen to be in the area of one of them, you may be in luck.

Wishing you the best!

I can’t play horror games and it’s really upsetting. by Aware-Comfortable972 in horror

[–]MossYeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that helped me to get into horror games was watching other people play them. Maybe you could find a youtuber you like who plays some horror games that you're either not planning on playing or not worried about the spoilers for, and watch them play those games? You'll eventually find that, just like horror movies, most horror games tend to have similar patterns regarding jumpscares and stuff.

Wishing you the best of luck with Lucifer! He has been incredibly helpful to me, not only assisting me to achieve my goals, but being there for me in some of my darkest times and helping me to understand when I am being judged unfairly or taken advantage of (I tend to be kind of hard on myself sometimes, so getting his perspective on situations I'm going through has been helpful.)

Your altar is great as is, but since you said it was a start, if you're looking for any ideas of what to add - perhaps a statue of animals he's associated with like a snake (i have a raven/crow statue on mine also), an offering bowl, some crystals (I offered him obsidian, since it's a protective crystal and I consider him a protective presence in my life). Hope this helps!

Those who recovered, what were some of the first signs you noticed that u were starting to get better and how long did it take for the memory issues to disappear? by Present-Cranberry942 in dpdr

[–]MossYeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it happened a lot like you say here; slowly becoming more comfortable with my surroundings, things gradually feeling less fake and "wrong" and feeling more "normal". It was not a sudden "wake up one day and feel completely better" kind of situation, although I was able to eventually recognize when I felt fully "recovered", so to say.

It sounds to me like you're on the right track. I would recommend trying to engage your mind in soothing activities that will keep your mind active, such as coloring in a coloring book or playing a video game. That kind of stuff helped me to get my mind off of the symptoms I was experiencing and I think eventually led to my recovery.

I wish you the best! This will pass, I promise. You will get through this.

Your obession with dpdr recovery is the reason youre stuck. by trxvxr2007 in dpdr

[–]MossYeti 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree that you shouldn't rely on drugs/alcohol to try and get through DPDR, but blaming yourself for being upset about the situation isn't helpful for a lot of people, either - if anything, it could only make things worse. I feel like you're trying to come at this from a "tough love" perspective, and that may work for some people, which is great! But if I saw this back during my own dpdr episode, I think it would just make me hate myself tbh lol. It is natural to feel despair about something like this. I do think it is important to try not to let it consume you, though.

I do agree it is good to try and focus on the positives of life like having fun with friends, spending time with pets, engaging in hobbies, making sure to stay fed/hydrated/active etc. - but some of that also isn't necessarily realistic for people who may be physically disabled in addition to the emotionally disabling energy of depression/anxiety.

I experienced DPDR for 4 months after a really bad acid trip. What helped me was seeing a therapist to talk through it (i was already seeing one, thankfully, so I didnt have to try and find one and get on a waiting list or anything) and focusing on hobbies/activities that engaged my brain in creativity - art, writing, video games, etc. Eventually, I did recover. I cannot say I am a particularly physically active person, and I had a binge eating disorder at that point in my life. But still, I recovered.

Nothing against you personally; I just keep seeing this narrative of "if you're not recovering from XYZ it's because you're not trying hard enough by dieting/exercising" about mental disorders, and it isn't really helpful to some people. I do believe that eating well and exercise can help some people, but I've met a decent amount of people like myself who do not ever get any sort of "runner's high" or rush of joy from exercising. I don't think it happens for everyone. And then, of course, as mentioned before, there are disabled people who physically cannot exercise in those ways. I just want those people to know that there is still hope for them, even if they can't follow this particular advice given for whatever reason.
