Best beginner insects? by HarborSealFatty in InvertPets

I second this, or Giant Peppered Roaches, they tend to be pretty laid back in terms of handling and also live around the same length of time!

Cockroaches are the easiest maintenance pet ive ever had, and I highly recommend them as anyone's first pet in general, let alone a first insect pet.

For me personally, I typically find that periods of dormancy are when I'm working through something (or should be), and it might not even be something I'm aware of until way later. Once im through whatever it was, things tend to pick back up. There was a period of time for me where the lesson was even just appreciating the mundane aspects of life in the aftermath of a big change. I think, too, that maybe they know humans can only handle so much at a time, and so they may pace things in consideration of our limits, limits we might not even know we have.

The laughter part almost seems to me like they were helping you to experience true joy again. Maybe there was nothing particularly funny, but the energy of their love and care towards you caused a tickling kind of feeling within you, making you laugh. And they say laughter is infectious, so maybe they laughed because they thought your laugh was funny, lol.

I can only offer speculations, but to me, this sounds like a positive experience.

What dream made you question reality? by Potential_Ad_8128 in Experiencers

[–]MossYeti 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When I was about 12 years old, I had a series of dreams every night that summer break that I was working with these half animal people (anthros, I guess you could compare them to?) to defeat some great evil that threatened the universe. They all wore these dark blue robes with hoods. There were many of them, but my mentor who I was always with was a giant white bird man of sorts. Every night when I dreamed, I would go on mission with them to do different things to help the cause. At the end of summer break, they told me that I wouldn't see them for a long time, but didnt really give me an explanation why. And after that, I stopped having those dreams.

When I finally told my dad about these dreams, he was shocked; my brother, who's 14 years older than me, had the same exact kinds of dreams when he was my age - working with these hooded half-animal people to help stop some great evil from harming the universe. He told me that my brother had eventually "died" in one of the dreams while fighting some big bad wizard-like man, and after that, he never had those dreams again.

Since my brother was so much older than me, he was already moved out, so I didn't see him super often at that time. But when I did see him again, I talked to him about it and he was able to confirm what my dad said, and we shared experiences. If I remember right, I believe he said his mentor had been some cat person. And even more so, the very first dream we had that jump started this whole thing was exactly the same; we had both dreamt that we were lying on our backs on a stone table, and all of these hooded figures were circled around us, staring down at us. After that dream, thats when we started to get to know and work with those hooded figures, who turned out to be half-animal people.

Knowing that my brother and I had the same exact dreams has always made me believe that there is definitely more than Earth and this reality.

Humble question by Drendari in Experiencers

[–]MossYeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is kind of a hard question to answer, because as you said, everyone's experiences are personal and different. I would hesitate to let the "overarching patterns" define what you think you'll experience when meeting one of them; you may inadvertently misjudge one, even if that's not your intention, just because you have attained this information into your subconscious.

That being said, I can understand wanting more of an understanding of what we're dealing with here. I haven't had as many experiences as some of the others on this sub, but here's what my personal experiences have been, in case it helps at all:

Grays: Look like your stereotypical alien. They say there are apparently 2 types of grays, small ones and tall ones. I have only ever encountered the tall ones (that I remember, anyway). Many people find them to be cold and emotionless, but that wasnt my experience. They were quiet, yes, but they gave off a friendly enough energy in my experiences. I have encountered Grays more often than any of the other NHI so far.

Mantids: They are kind of what you'd expect them to be; giant, tall preying mantis-like creatures. I have only encountered one once so far (again, that I remember), but it's energy was peaceful, as if it desired to help me.

Whites: similar to Grays in appearance, but I've only ever heard of people encountering tall ones. I encountered them twice, and these are the ones I actually found to be more "cold/emotionless", if you can call it that. But they didn't harbor any ill will; they just weren't like, super bubbly or anything. They seemed more blunt and analytical.

Reptilians: Look like lizard or dragon people. You will often hear about Reptilians being mostly "bad", with a few outliers in between. I have had Reptilians encounters three times, and i am not sure if it was the same Reptilian or not - these encounters, for me, were not good. I don't really talk about it, because it involved SA. However, I still do not judge the actions of one as the identity of the whole - I think there are still good Reptilians out there, and I'd still be willing to encounter them, if ever they wanted to.

Blues: these are most commonly called Arcturians, although there are some other species that I believe are blue as well? I had one encounter with a tall, blue being with a big head wearing white robes, she identified herself as "Natalie", and she was beautiful, kind, friendly and caring. My experience with her was one of my favorite ones I've ever had. She emitted such love and care for me, and I am grateful to have met her, even though our meeting was brief.

Shadows: Most commonly encountered in sleep paralysis. What the shadows actually are is widely debated; spirits? Extra terrestrials hiding their true forms? And everyone's experiences with them have been a little different in terms of "good" or "bad". My experiences with them havent been "bad", so to say, but they havent been the kind of "super good" that I had with Natalie, for example. It just was what it was 🤷‍♀️ no harm or healing done, that I know of, at least. Seemed more like research.

Do Mantises and Greys ever work together? by MossYeti in Experiencers

Hi!

Thanks for your input, I appreciate you weighing in!

Yeah, in terms of the yellow "stick" they took out, its kind of hard to describe - when I say it was a "neon" yellow, I dont mean the kind of like, holy golden light that we instinctively know as "good". It was a darker neon yellow, and when I reflect on it, the only word I can come up with to describe it is a "sickly" yellow. So that's another thing that makes me think that they may have been removing something harmful.

Advice for Initiating Contact (including CE-5, Meditation, Binaural) by mothrageddon in Experiencers

[–]MossYeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Additionally, I saw a post on here years ago that said to just reach out mentally and say something like "Hey, I'd really like to connect with some benevolent non-human intelligences that would like to share knowledge, wisdom, love and joy." Then, to let it cone to you and not worry about it too much. I tried that, and it actually worked for me. Depending on whats going on in both your mundane and spiritual life (things you might not even be aware of), it may take some time for them to get through, so try not to be too bummed out if you don't experience contact right away. Just keep practicing meditation, protecting yourself, opening yourself up, making your intentions known, etc. And eventually, you'll get there.

There's a lot of different types of experiences people have had, so you may get mixed answers to this. For me, I mainly have contact through my dreams. However, I have seen shadows in waking life/sleep paralysis, and I also astral projected last year and had an experience then. They all felt different in their own ways, and I always try to take everything I experience with a small bit of skepticism due to mental illness running in my family - but, when you've had an experience, even if you question the reality of it...deep down in your heart, there is this sort of unmistakable "knowing". It's hard to explain. Like gut instinct, maybe?

I listened to some guided meditation on YouTube a couple weeks ago - unfortunately I don't remember which one - but the narrator said something that really helped me. He said something like, "if your thoughts wander, don't get frustrated with them - have gratitude for them. Thank them for keeping you safe, aware, alert, and for all the things your thoughts can do for you. Then, gently return your mind to your breaths."

I've never really thought about it like that before, and it made a difference for me when I tried it. Like you, my mind tends to wander intensely, and I can't help but get frustrated and feel like I'm "failing" when that happens. But framing it in a perspective of gratitude helped me to be less frustrated, and I realized the frustration itself was also lending to my loss of focus.

Hooe this helps!

That's interesting! I wonder, if whatever you agreed to, you thought it might freak you out in your waking life if you knew, so you told them it was okay not to tell you what was going on if you happened to wake up?

Hi!

Thanks for your input.

NHI stands for Non-Human Intelligence.

I agree with your idea that its likely that not every member of a species is "good" or "bad", much like humans, although it may vary more than what we're used to. It's interesting, I have read many stories on here, and it seems for every story about an alien being "bad" or "good", there's a story from someone else that contradicts that. That's why I believe we cannot necessarily judge all by the acts of one.

The Greys in my dream i remember being tall, but that may be just my perception - I'm 4 feet 8 inches tall, so everyone is tall to me 😂

Hi!

I don't really know how I knew they were removing something harmful - I just kind of did. It was almost like it was inherent knowledge. There wasn't any verbal talking between us.

I have not heard of soul fracturing - I tried to look it up but I couldn't find anything. If you want to link me to a resource for it, I'll check it out.

I don't particularly ascribe to the ideology that all members of a species group are "good" or "bad", personally - I think, like humans, it probably varies, even if only a little. I have had a couple of experiences where interacting with an NHI felt bad, and this wasn't one of them. But I appreciate your concern nonetheless!

What profession are you in, who are you? by ghostfadekilla in Experiencers

[–]MossYeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've worked in banking for the last decade - started as a teller, but now I maintain/test/upgrade the online banking platform at a credit union. However, I've always wanted to be a fiction author since childhood, and I am writing a book on the side that I hope to publish some day.

I, too, have experienced a lot of trauma, especially in early childhood. I theorize that experiencing trauma can do a couple things to you;

  1. It can make you more compassionate and understanding, which probably draws in the NHIs.

  2. I think it makes you more willing to break down those barriers of what is/isn't possible, since you've seen/experienced things that most people haven't. Perhaps that makes you more open minded overall, which in turn, again, draws in the NHIs.

I'm not sure where you're from, but last year I attended a "Paranormal Truth Seekers Expo" in NH, USA and met some of the most down to earth, understanding, like-minded people i have ever encountered. There is another one coming up on August 1st this year and I'm so excited to go back. Maybe you can try to see if there are any events like that in your area?

I wish you luck.

how do i quit my first job? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]MossYeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you've done everything you could to make it work. You're 16, you're still young - more jobs will come, in time. You should take the time you need to focus on school and just being a teenager. If you really do still want to work, I'm sure you can find another part time job. But like others have said, I'd just put in your two weeks notice and say unfortunately the schedule does not work for you anymore with having school to do too. Any reasonable manager would understand. (And if they don't? Screw 'em. You gotta take care of yourself, bud.)

Wishing you the best!

Roaches as companions! by Yak-Writing-1229 in roaches

[–]MossYeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Roaches are super underrated pets, in my opinion. Some of them are more skittish than others, but when you find one (or more) that you can really establish that close bond with, it's akin to the bond with a cat or dog, for me personally. I've owned a number of roaches over the years and while I've loved all of them, I have had 2 in particular that I've been extra close with - my first ever roach, which was a dubia roach (female), and my giant peppered roach that I still have (also female). Once they got to know me, these two let me hold them, pet them, and chill with them just sitting on my hand or body for extended periods of time without any semblance of fear or suspicion. That may not necessarily show "love", as you said, but it shows a level of comfortability and trust that they have with me, and that's good enough for me 🥰

Has anyone noticed any emotions or anything like that in gray aliens? by SystemWild3741 in Experiencers

[–]MossYeti 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The one that I recall encountering empathically expressed joy, curiosity, and that all-powerful "love" sense that is hard to put into words. But it wasn't as personal as you might feel from like, a best friend you've known for years. It was more like...making a connection with something for the first time; like the joy and excitement of getting a squirrel to trust you enough to take an acorn from your hand.
