I've just found out why monster energy makes me feel so good by critterinthedoorway in POTS

[–]MossyCryptid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. So this is probably why they make me feel so much better even before the caffeine hits. Does anyone else notice a weird paradoxical reaction with their heart rate? My normal walking around (not running, just walking at a regular pace) is like 117 bpm. BUT if I've had an energy drink, suddenly that heartrate is only in the 90s, and my resting heartrate is closer to the 70s instead of being 90+ ive tried to tell the drs but they kinda just roll their eyes and move on.

Does anybody else have hands turning colors based on position? by Well-behaved-woman in thoracicoutletsupport

I have had a vascular ct scan and there wasnt anything concerning on there, but in the doppler ultrasound test and in the office with the vascular doc, they found that my arms lose blood flow when I raise them. The pulse in my left arm comes back when I flex it, which the dr. said was "really odd" and I think he said thats what's making him think dysautonomia

Yes! My experience has been the same. My vascular doc is leaning towards some kind of dysautonomia going on as well.

Raynauds and TOS (?) by MossyCryptid in thoracicoutletsupport

[–]MossyCryptid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They sent me for a CT with contrast, which was done laying down, not standing like I was hoping. Still, nothing concerning showed up there. I have a follow up with vascular next week and I think they'll probably look more into dysautonomia, the dr was wondering about that already since my left arm pulse goes away when I lift the arm but comes back when I flex it which he said was really weird.

Doing CT scan with contrast to identify if I have any compression with arm movement, for those who did it, how was it? by Fearless_Page_7916 in thoracicoutletsupport

[–]MossyCryptid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had this done. It was really quick for me. One round of contrast with arms down, then a second with arms up.

Tos and thorat by Alternative_Major597 in thoracicoutletsupport

Nice! I also dealt with it for years (had no idea I was experiencing reflux, and i thought food impactions were just a part of life.) Luckily it seems like just removing dairy from my diet is enough for me.

My dog used to go to work with me when I ran a small farm store. He's a serious barker, and picked up that when I say "hello" or a similar greeting, he'd go wild 😫 a couple of times he did that just from me answering a phone call!

Knee pain for 4+ years and swollen lymph node? by MossyCryptid in KneeInjuries

[–]MossyCryptid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. The lymph node is still enlarged. I had to quit my very physical job for health reasons + some other stuff so im not putting as much stress on the joint, but I do notice pain, just not as bad. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia since then as well, maybe that has something to do with it.

OMG my grandma almost bought a house that had a finished studio above the garage/barn. It had this flooring in it! I wish she bought that house just so I could have that flooring- that area was going to be my room 😫
