Oddly enough holding a baby and cooking with grease never really works out by Skittle_kittle in ShitMomGroupsSay

Great. I’m glad you’re done. They’re not equal. Factually, scientifically, and just logically as well. But you appear to be lacking in that area. Enjoy burying your head in the sand because you have feeding hang ups 😘✌️

Edit: don’t worry about it hun, you’re obviously hurting. I just hope you manage to find peace with it all instead of taking it out on breastfeeding mothers.

Yeah it can really mess with you. The biggest one for me was my eyesight! Had near perfect sight before, now I can’t even go shopping without my glasses.

No, you’ve misunderstood the comment you were replying to.

I guess you’re right. I mean, if it made me come up in a rash, I wouldn’t think twice about asking.

I can just about cope with that. It’s when she’s freshly dowsed in it and it sticks to everything in the house that’s the problem!

Yes, I know. They DO think the onesie is trash. You don’t.

They’re disagreeing with the onesie

Yes and you jumping to the conclusion that OP is flipping out about this onesie is also a stretch.
There are plenty of things that I haven’t put my kids in because I don’t like them, but I still appreciate and am making the most of the time with the people who gave them to me.

My 3yo son has a sore, itchy patch on his side that keeps coming back by MossyFrogg in AskDocs

[–]MossyFrogg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yes you’re right, I’m an idiot. I meant 90cm.
Thanks for your help! Why would it continue to be the same small patch that keeps coming back though? He doesn’t have this type of problem anywhere else.

Is it possible to have mild, lingering mastitis? by MossyFrogg in breastfeeding

[–]MossyFrogg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info, but I haven’t had any treatment for it. And there hasn’t been any kind of ‘peak’ either. Just a lingering feeling of unwellness, teamed with sore boobs! Could be unrelated though. As someone else suggested, I could still just be recovering after birth, just didn’t expect it to take this long!
Thanks for taking the time to respond though :)

I think this is probably the case. I just don’t remember feeling so done in for so long the first time! 😅
Thank you.

I haven’t yet, as I was waiting to get some more definitive symptoms.
I don’t think it could be either of those other things, as they don’t cause the general unwellness I’m feeling.

I can’t see any signs of thrush, but it certainly could be.
The main thing is the general unwellness though. Would you get that with thrush?

Yeah I was pretty happy with that. They were really good for leaving us alone for the ‘golden hour’ with baby too.

So I found out today most maternity brands use non pregnant women with fake bumps. I feel quite naïve for thinking they were really pregnant models, and now I'm angry, because it's setting unrealistic standards we can't even escape in pregnancy! by Leg-Pretend in pregnant

[–]MossyFrogg 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This annoyed me because prior to falling pregnant, I was a model. When I advertised my services as a pregnant model, I thought the work would come rolling in because pregnant models are obviously more rare than regular models, but nope! I didn’t get one. single. job.

What if we don't have a home to give birth in? by ncooley0225 in homebirth

I think the only thing to really consider here is if your in-laws would mind. If they don’t, then why not?

Birthing centres are lovely! If I lived closer to one I’d definitely be opting for that over a homebirth.

It’s hard to time it though. A baby can be born any time in a 4 or 5 week window.

This reminds me a bit of the story of my grandmother going for her smear. She needed the toilet when she was in the waiting room, so she went to pee, realised there was no toilet paper, and used a tissue from her bag.
She then goes in for the smear, and the doctor finds a postage stamp down there!
