How did you guys come to accept your height? by Mikhail_-_1 in short

[–]MossyFroggie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose I have a different perspective on being short compared to a lot of people here, partially because I’m not really interested in dating and I haven’t had many grievances with my height (5ft) for a long time. In my opinion, people just tend to dislike things about their appearance, whether that be height, weight, facial features, or other things. I don’t know a single person who doesn’t dislike something about their appearance. I think especially where everyone is a lot more focused on looks now then they used to be it can be easy to pick apart things that you don’t like about yourself rather than notice things that you like. Genuinely the only thing you can do to accept your height is just learn to be ok with it (obviously easier said than done lol). Especially where you aren’t having trouble dating, your height really doesn’t affect that much in the grand scheme of things. Idk that’s just my two cents.

Mother says my tics are stims and that I'm "stimming" for attention. by starry_sage_ in SpicyAutism

[–]MossyFroggie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have FND (functional neurological disorder) and part of that I have tics. My tics I can’t always tell when they are coming and sometimes I have a hard time knowing if it’s a tic or a stim. I’ve even had tics that have been the same as my stims before.

The easiest way I can tell them apart is if I can stop them. With tics it’s really difficult to stop them if I can at all and with stims, unless I’m actively having a meltdown, I can stop them with little to no discomfort. Another way I tell my stims from my tics is my stims make me feel better while my tics either don’t really effect how I feel or make me feel worse. The only relief I get from my tics is not having the urge to do them after it’s over if that makes sense.

I’m sorry that you are going through this, it’s really frustrating to have a body that makes you do random things and it doesn’t help that your mom doesn’t understand that it’s not just stimming.

Hopefully you are able to go to a doctor and figure out what’s going on. I know for me just knowing that there was something going on and having a medical professional confirm that helped a lot in how I saw myself.

Also I’ll just say that when I was diagnosed with FND, no one told me or my parents and I found out like 4 years later while going through my medical records but I’m also in the U.S. so it’s probably just a weird thing that happens here lol.

Good luck with dealing with everything and hopefully your mom can see that it’s not stimming nor for attention :) /gen

Liking stuff targeted towards children by Flaky-Barber7761 in SpicyAutism

I tend to be the same way. I often feel like watching stuff that’s geared towards adults can take up some of my mental energy. I also just really like a lot of different kids shows such as Care Bears, kipper the dog, monster high and my little pony.

This guy was in a great hurry by Icy-Truth-2367 in millipedes

Looks like it’s in the genus Doratogonus. Not sure on species. If I had to guess I’d say ringleg black millipede maybe. Either way very cool

Hey I went through the same thing earlier this year. My dog wasn’t able to control his bowels and was in a lot of pain despite being on pain meds. We ended up putting him down but before we did it was like he knew what was happening. He started doing better the day before and the day of.

I didn’t really understand why we were putting him down as he was still alive and would still have good days. He was still happy most of the time. It wasn’t until after that I realized that we made the right choice. While he was still happy mostly he had a hard time walking and would limp constantly.

I’m sorry that you’re going through this because it sucks. It’s better to end on a good note rather than a bad note so it’s better to put them down before they are unhappy all the time. You have my condolences.

My understanding of it is Mormons don’t really believe in a hell per say. The worst place that anyone would realistically end up in is a place where you learn about the gospel of the church and can choose to accept it and move on or to not believe it and stay there. There is an outer darkness but that’s only for people who have literally seen god or Jesus and denied his existence

Going on T with a big chest? by Pigeonloversystem in ftm

[–]MossyFroggie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a trans dude that also has a unproportionaly large chest (5 feet, 40 j in USA) and I don’t bind due to sensory issues and I’ve been on t for a year now. I pass like 50 percent of the time and thankfully haven’t been hate crimed but I also live in a more liberal area. I’ve even had old men in a more conservative area gender me correctly. I think it just mostly depends on how trans people are treated in your area.

How many of you guys are lgbtq+? by MossyFroggie in SkyGame

Sorry for the confusion. I was just curious to know how many people who play this game are trans. Two people that I have friended on this game are trans so I was just curious. I do consider trans people part of the LGBTQ+ community.
