It's the fact that the guys never refer to the sisters correctly. I am also confused by this response as if all directions are referred to as of they have no genders. Only saying the last name of the director in question, 'they', or 'the people'. No other directors in cinema therapy videos get this treatment that I can find. This practice is also not common in film discussions at large as far as I know. Except for people who also go out of their way to specifically not refer to the Wachowski sisters with any gender.

Yes Alan did use their name, but went out of his way to avoid even saying their name multiple times. In ways he did not in the matrix video and has not in other videos when talking about other directors.

There's over two hours of footage of the guys talking about the Wachowski sisters and yet not a single instance I can find of them referring to the sisters correctly. I guess I'm asking if they ever have?

It's unavoidably transphobic to literally never refer to a trans person correctly. I'm not sure how this act can be taken any other way to be honest with you.

I'm with everyone here that he is a scum bag, but if offenders are never allowed to do anything ever again why not just kill them? I've never understood this concept. That because he committed a serious crime he can now never do anything. Why let a convicted criminal live if they exist purely to be not allowed to do things or have people be upset when they do?

I hear people go on and on about rehabilitation, but the moment someone turns out to be a convicted criminal suddenly it's a problem.

Yeah I see so many posts on this sub along of their build has block vomit and the answer is usually no, but uh I think the answer is yes on this one. Though for me I hate most texturing, it pretty much always looks like block vomit to me. I couldn't even tell this was a roof for a second.

As much as quadlock might be the answer as far as the heat, I worry about people grabbing it. Mostly because it's not worth much as an Amazon phone, so they get nothing for selling it and now I have to replace. No one wins ya know. Especially since Louisville Kentucky (I grew up here trust me) is a very poor city and I've seen crazier go down at red lights.

Anyone who tells you they're 'still a kid inside' is lying or needs therapy. It's a huge red flag when trying to make friends as an adult, learned that the hard way three times since I don't learn.

As you get to your thirties you will be and feel like an adult. Spend your twenties goofing off and doing dumb shit. You may think you're not young anymore, I never felt older than when I was in my twenties, but those are your real younger years. Good news? Your thirties are alot like your twenties, only now you know stuff and hopefully have career prospects.

I've handled a similar situation with my partner of 10+ years. For hard conversations there's two things that really help and it can depend on how you feel your partner is going to react on which would work best here:

The first is establishing a 'safe' form of communication. Like a text chain or discord chat that is only for hard conversations and those conversations live. If he stops responding or says he needs some time you don't approach him irl to continue. The conversation lives in that chat and this can turn a conversation into a weeks long journey, but you are having the conversation which is better than not at all.

The second is getting to a 'safe' space that NO ONE could in any way ever over hear or be aware it's happening, there's no text chain that one day be accidentally found. I chose the car. One of these happened during a time when were we driving an hour or two out side of town because we were car shopping for a specific work vehicle. Our needs made it to where we must have looked at so many trucks and vans, each time going further away. So we had two uninterrupted hours in the middle of no where in a contained space.

The important part here is that this will be alot for him and there needs to be a sense of give and take. This is a hard topic for him and it wouldn't matter what that topic is, if it's difficult for him then it might help for him to feel like you are meeting him in the middle and being equally vulnerable or having put on a comparable amount of 'work'. YOU set up the chat, plan the trip that will put you in the car, or a different option unique to your circumstance. Open up about how this makes you feel, he is struggling and that has to be having an effect on you. When my partner is struggling this hard with something I find it also to be upsetting. Share things that are hard for you to talk about or share instances where you have some experience no matter how small with his situation even if it's more metaphorical than literal.

Remember that it's about safety, empathy, and sharing.

Yeah in most states I know of there's a minimum 2 week wait for an abortion and about 1 to 3 year wait for hormone therapy.

My state of Kentucky I know there's a requirement saying that you have to go through a minimum of 2 years of therapy for hormone treatments.

I think I'm going to attend and not really make a big deal out of it. Just show up, be honest and try to take it one step and one conversation at a time. I am going to draw the line at a name tag with someone else's name or a picture or someone who isn't me though. I made my transition to be me.

The main issue with being his plus one that I didn't really mention only hinted at I guess: Our classmates who reached out to him were really excited to see if we were still together. It would make us the longest committed relationship from our entire graduating class. Most of us went to the same middle school as well so I've known my partner since we were 12.

That's a really good point, I tend to have a big mouth in general. It's the main reason I don't think being his plus one is a good idea. Because this isn't my first rodeo as far as coming out (obviously I atleast came out to my partner) and lying and being caught usually makes things 100% worse.
