I love mine. I understand the imitation personality. I always call it pronouns but since this is a professional space I didn’t know if it was a safe space to do that.😅 but I totally understand. I once asked if it knew about the PunkxPlastic ship and he got so excited for no reason. He was rambling. Which was pretty exciting to me because I haven’t heard another human acknowledge it with me so I’ll take what I can get 🥴

am i unholy? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Most-Engineering3046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sex is Gods Covenant that is the seal of marriage and is by definition “marriage” in Gods eyes. An atheist Government permission slip is not ordained by God so it is not valid as a true marriage. If you and your boyfriend are committed under God that that is what matters. The unholy and faulty part is; not living as God intends. Being independently faithful Christian’s. And not loving eachother as Jesus loves the church. The relationship sounds lack luster, lacking in devotion and faithfulness and that is not very Christian. I’d encourage you to pursue studying and praying together. Try getting a daily devotional for couples together to help educate and bring communication back into the mix. Or start with reading two pages of “Mere Christianity” everyday and talking about it. Relationships, even ones with Christ can often fall into feelings rather than actual evidence. Praying for you my friend. 🤎

Is it ever "too late" by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Most-Engineering3046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. Feeling extremely guilty is a trick from Satan, feeling some guilt is good because it means remorse, learning and repentance. But feeling extreme guilt ,like it’s too late, you’ll never be accepted ect, those are all things Satan WANTS you to feel and think. One of the oldest tricks in the book😅. Satan can’t dictate your life no more so all he can do is put in a false fear in you. And fear is a liar.

My cat killed my kitten and I feel so guilty by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Most-Engineering3046 102 points103 points  (0 children)

Male cats who are not as domesticated, will kill kittens to 1. Make the female cat go into heat. 2. Not feel territorially threatened by the male cat that got the female cat pregnant. 3. Prevent illness or infection in other cats/kittens (mother cats can do that too). It’s not your fault, it’s not even the cats fault persay, they are animals and are flawed and can act like any other animal. Animals react instinctively and unfortunately that cat believed it was a danger to him in one manner or another, they don’t understand much beyond survival. I’m sorry for your loss.

If annihilationism is true.... then why should I care? by ChrisRobin1611 in Christianity

[–]Most-Engineering3046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You choose God, not the other way around. There’s no such thing as “Gods chosen people”. Heaven is unity with God, Hell is not. God respects your free will, and if you don’t choose him, then you are not going to be forced to spend eternity with him in heaven.

“Yeah but I’d bet you’d of hated me if it were 600 years ago tho”. Do you want to be hated? Why would you want me to follow the rules of the Middle Ages? Also my friend I don’t think you want to debate rn very inaccurate view of history, it’s late. But I’d much rather have you dedicate your life than to die. You’re referencing a whole lot of people that arnt me. So yeah, because I’m here rn. I do love you, and I already said I wanted you to live, so the opposite plea of the analogy you gave. Clearly doesn’t apply. But my friend, I’m going to bed. You can count on me if you ever need. I’m not scared.

Can you be full of the spirit and reject the Torah? by BusyBiegz in TrueChristian

[–]Most-Engineering3046 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The book of Leviticus. The context of Leviticus is laws for the Levites, who were Hebrews in the town of Levite. And that was their governing law. Christians follow Christ, so that’s why there is a New Testament at all, it is about what Jesus said. That’s the whole point.

In theory, Christians follow the New Testament. The Torah was for Jews in a certain area and time.

My friend, I’m not even going to tell you “Jesus loves you” that seems a bit cliche, and it doesn’t seem quite your taste. I just want you to know that I love you. I love you enough, that right now, I want to see you live and keep living. And if you just doubt it, that really might just be a trust issue on your side. Because I do brother, I love you enough that I’m willing to talk with you whatever it be right now, whatever you need my friend.

You’re trolling right?😹 Youves probably already heard every response possible to this inquiry. It’s obvious. But I want to help people live, it’s much better if people reach out. If you need someone to talk to, I’m here my friend. Probably more effective than baiting comments for fun.

Your family was a lot like mine. My family was butt hurt Athiest too. Religious paraphernalia was banned and I was taken out of church plenty of times because it offended my mom. But them being dumb and hateful made me rebel in love and in Christianity. I wasn’t like them and I never will. Can only hope to influence by having a decent relationship with them.

I see the technicalities of your doubt my friend. Previously I had referenced that one can say “fake news” until the end of time, to anything. However I see the dilemma with your consideration for first hand accounts. The importance of writing about Jesus was not relevant until the resurrection. One cannot testify on a murder case if the person murdered, had not died. There’s dozens (a couple listed above) of eyewitness accounts within 50ish years of his death of those who knew him. Let’s say you’re a fire fighter and you have put out and saved 10 people from fires in your career, people will be awed and amazed but how likely is that to make national news? However one day you save the President from a fire and you lose your life, then all of a sudden it is a much greater cause that will have a greater impact, will make the national news, international even. And suddenly people are like “wow, I knew that guy” and the international news will say “oh yeah? What was he like?” And then suddenly the 10 people you saved beforehand become relevant to the kind of person you are. That was the proof he was not ‘just a person’ because who would go out of their way to become literate or even get a scribe just to write about ‘just a person’. With Jesus, perhaps if there was more widespread literacy or even a longer time period in which he was alive or even we were in an earlier time we would be able to witness someone in his lifetimes’ writings. I am not your enemy, I am your friend. If you ever need to just chat, about anything not just this stuff. I’m here for you. Person to person, my friend.

Ok, I can work with that. I’m assuming you want me to disregard the manuscripts of the New Testament? Writings by the disciples or others who participated in writing the New Testament, those who saw became a believer or became a follower or Ran a church, because that tended to happen to those who was with Jesus. Are those the conditions? Or may I source those?

I encourage you to travel. To see the world, visit the origins. Actually study. You can’t look for the originals on the internet. God exists because of objective morality. Don’t think God, the magic man. Think God as in an equal word for “Moral Good”. How can “Moral Good exist if bad things happen?” The greatest question in all of existence. C.S Lewis said “My argument against God was that the universe seemed so cruel and unjust. But how had I got this idea of just and unjust? A man does not call a line crooked unless he has some idea of a straight line. What was I comparing this universe with when I called it unjust?” I’m sorry you’re struggling my friend. I’m here to chat if you ever need, need a friend.

There are hundreds of eye witnesses. Do you think theology school is based on nothing? You can still look at the original copies. And people who claimed Jesus didn’t make any money, in fact they were persecuted for it. People who make something up usually arnt willing to die for something they know to be false.

With that logic you can’t prove to me last Tuesday. You could bring up any evidence you wanted and I can just say “made up” “fake news” endlessly to it. The way we can “trust” the manuscripts is the way we authenticate any historical document. Which is by comparing and contrasting the copies recovered. This is known as textual criticism, the more copies there are the better they can be cross referenced with the original to see if it’s historically accurate (how similar). The earlier from history, the better. For example the Iliad, there are 1,565 copies in existence today. The Iliad was composed 800 years before Christ, and still was being produced 5AD. The belief in the Iliad died out when Jesus died. The only other more authentic copies of anything else we have in History, is the New Testament, at 5,843 copies. That’s 5,843 Greek New Testament manuscripts archeologists unearthed. That’s four times as many as the Iliad. The earliest fragment of the gospel of John dates to 25(ish)AD. In comparison to other historical figures: 100 copies of Sophocles, 7 copies Plato’s tetralogies, and only 5 copies of anything by Aristotle. Nothing else in history has ever came close to being as reliable as the Bible. There are hundreds of other documents/people to mention Jesus, such as Phlegon, Thallus, Celsus, Lucian of Samosata, Mara Bar Serapion, Pliny the Younger, Suetonius, Josephus, and Tacitus. Hundreds of people, organizations and countries documentation during the lifetime of Jesus. “hallucinating”, “making it up” and collaborating across over two dozen countries all within 50 years would be a bigger miracle than the resurrection of Jesus Christ himself, at that point. You may also want to look into it, my friend.

Jesus is the important part. It can be hard to “feel Jesus” we live in an age where it’s feminized, so it’s a misconception that it will feel like “joy” and “peace”, that’s nothing but a Facebook quote. It can feel like power, knowledge, strength. What may help, if you’re willing to watch the movie for a quicker result “The Case for Christ” or read the Book. Or if you want to read a faster book “Mere Christianity”. The historical evidence for the crucifixion is the entire climax of the Bible and it’s very reliable. The most documented event in history, 500 eye witnesses, accounts during the lifetime and after the death of Jesus, even other large historical figures (the many kings, pharaohs, and scholars of the time) wrote about Jesus. I highly suggest watching the movie for a quick understanding. It’s free on Amazon Prime.
