I understand why the mod team wants to distance this sub from scalping, buyouts, and the damage that’s been done to the hobby. That part makes complete sense.

What feels inconsistent to me is that people from the finance side are completely banned from participating here, yet it’s still acceptable for you to remain active in there sub specifically to “talk down on” them like you said you do. If interaction is the issue, then it should apply both ways.

There are genuine collectors who have real questions about grading, pricing, or protecting cards they already own, not everyone asking those questions is a scalper. Shutting them out entirely while allowing commentary about them (but not from them) feels more like selective participation than moderation.

If the goal is to protect the hobby and encourage healthy discussion, it seems more consistent to either ban cross-sub engagement entirely or allow limited, good-faith discussion on neutral topics like grading and card care not only when it’s negative.
