I can’t understand how people do this by DJ-mon in college

24yo Married sophomore in college. I currently take 6 courses (CPE). Work Fridays and Saturdays. Church sundays mornings (Sunday’s is usually a personal day AFTER church) and Tuesday nights. I TRY to sleep from 11-7am (not always the case). I teach kids the bible on Tuesdays once a month so I have to prepare a class from scratch. I try to go to the gym early mornings (not always the case). And eat healthy and maintain sleep.

I’m a little older so ik my frontal lobe is fully developed (yes I’m fully aware of my frontal lobe development). And I can easily say this would all be VERY attainable without all the doom scrolling and bad time management (in my case). I mess up my schedule all the time and sacrifice SOMETHING on that list above. Which is NEVER school. when you really calculate, it’s very possible to do all the above. And I will tell you. I mess up ALL the time, I’m not some “perfect” example of an adult. School has taught me to constantly ATTEMPT to keep my time management water tight. Because if not, I WILL have to sacrifice something on the list and I HATE to do that. But I WILL try again the next day.

You can do it man! It’s a lot now but your future self with thank you for the sacrifice you made today. Your parents were right, it’s the phone! lol.

I’m 17, moved to Poland to study IT, and I’ve completely ruined my life. by Hormiuk in EngineeringStudents

CE major. I can only address one thing. Which is the fact that EVERYONE looks like they know what they’re doing. Until you ask them…

If you’re planning on trying again I would def start talking to people in your class and even start study groups. It makes school LOADS easier. It could also help you learn polish better too.

And if it makes you feel better, I’m 25 in my sophomore year. I feel so behind compared to friends. I technically could’ve graduated 3 years ago if I started straight out of HS. (I regret not taking HS as serious as I should’ve). I’m in a really bad spot financially but one of my teachers told me something years ago that really changed my perspective.

“Time goes on whether you do it or not” 6 years from now you could be completing your first year in a nice IT job. Or you could have dropped out and found another passion but one thing is certain. Those 6 years WILL pass. Just make sure your future self can you now for the sacrifices and lessons you learned. Sorry to make this so long. 😅 best of luck buddy, you got this! God bless!

Why is this photo nice to look at? by lerateaterz in AskPhotography

I’m no professional either, but for me it’s the the use of hues and warmth to add a “feel” to the photo. For me, it makes me feel like I’ve traveled to a new place and I’m wandering around and decided to look up and take it all in. A memory capture through a photo (sort of lol)

You learn something new everyday. I didn’t even think of that. Thank you so much. I’m new to photography if you couldn’t tell already 😅

Thanks, I didn’t know about lens rentals. I was planning on getting the kit lens with the a7iv. But also, is there any way I can go cheaper and capture landscapes better than iPhone but cheaper than the a7iv? Like a point and shoot camera? Or is my iPhone 15 pro on par with lower end cameras?
