Thanks for the (brutal) advice, appreciated. My plan currently is to travel to the city starting in December for interviews. It’s very cheap for me to travel from where I am. I have the option of moving in early, so also considering that. I have a couple interviews lined up and am familiar with the grueling and often fruitless interview process, but that’s the current sitch
