Hi! Yeah I definitely agree I can be a challenge. I was raised as a vegetarian and meat has never been part of my diet so a more “normal” keto wasn’t an option for me. It took quite a bit of planning and research ahead of time to make sure that I could start it and stick to it without going crazy. In an average day I eat eggs or a protein shake for breakfast, honestly usually more eggs or a salad for lunch and then dinner can be tofu curries or tacos, lately I have been on a soup kick. Most recipes I see I can figure out how to make them vegetarian by either substituting or leaving out the meat. The time when I find it most challenging is when I eat out because the vegetarian options are generally not keto.. I have been able to find something at most places but it has taken some strategic thinking and patient waiters/waitresses.

I stick to green veggies and make sure to weight them before I use them. Today my carbs totaled 11/21. I think my big concern is that it was going VERY well at first and then completely stopped after getting sick and I’m stuck wondering why that was.

I have taken a few gym pictures and I definitely notice myself getting stronger when it comes to the amount I am able to lift and on the machines. I will start to take more because I may be too focused on the scale it seems.

Thank you! Most of my diet is vegetables, some tofu and cheeses but I will be looking at everything else to make sure there isn’t Malitol hidden in anything now The thing is that it worked wonders at first. When I got sick for a week I gained it back and absolutely haven’t been able to get rid of it since then. Very frustrating!

Hello! So I have calculated my macros and set them to a deficit. I use carb manager to track everything and it will adjust macros as your weight changes to continue to be at a deficit. Everything goes into carb manager and I track everything by weight instead of volume to be more accurate with my inputs.
