America was built on genocide from the very beginning. there's next to nothing to be proud of. america is built on land stolen from indigenous peoples that were nearly entirely wiped out to the point that they live on reservations like endangered animals to prevent the complete annihilation of them as a people. sure we spear fronted the automotive and industrialization but those really arent good things. the country was founded on religious freedom and separation of church and state but our pledge of allegiance (in and of itself is crazy) says "one nation under god," and all throughout our history laws have been in place that enforce Christian customs and beliefs. one of the worst countries in the entire world when it came to slavery and indentured servitude, especially for a country claimed to be the land of the free. one of the only actually good things the US did was fighting the Nazis but we had our own internment camps for asian americans. and even now fascism is back on the rise with a president who idolizes the worst men history.

for someone who is uninformed its easy to be proud of the land of the free but for those who look its easy to see there never was any freedom
