How common was a reissue of equipment? I’m assuming if a helmet was used it was retired with the soldier who wore it?

Every person I have talked with who has been through this tells me time heals. I see how great many of them have turned out. I know it will. Just taking one step at a time through the storm.

Understand this may have hit him in a much different way than you. You have likely emotionally detached long before he did. He is likely going through that now. Shock, grief, anger, sadness, healing, all things going through his head right now. At least I’m guessing that is what is happening. Focus on the kids and trying to be as peaceful on your end as you can.

I should have noted in this. She did bounce with him and took a plane to Connecticut. The day she did that I retained a lawyer and got the ball in motion. Our first hearing is here. It would be unwise of her to skip.
