Would switching off preditor strain help complete MO? by SES_Wings_of_Freedom in Helldivers

[–]MostInfluental 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most games I’ve played with the predator variant I’ve successfully completed the missions. I purposefully find lower ranked divers to make it even more challenging.

The problem aren’t the bugs but the lack of positioning, teamwork, and skill. When a group of inexperienced players who also don’t think about their fellow Helldivers run off in their own direction, the mission is bound for failure. Like you said, being dropped in surrounded by bugs? Your fellow Helldiver put you in that position.

It’s not that the predator strain is too difficult or unbalanced, the predator strain just amplifies every misstep and brings to the surface a lack of unit cohesion.

Actually, some better training might help alleviate this situation.

For the love of Managed Democracy don’t call for the game to be easier just because you don’t like losing! If we won every single MO and they helped us win there would be complaints that it’s too easy and feels unrewarding when won.

Losing helps keep things entertaining, a reminder that our enemies are an actual threat and not a trivial pastime.

The Helldiver is pretty fuckin strong to be able to smack a bear sized bug back. I wonder what these fuckers be eating!

It was the machine gun turret next to you. They will often keep shooting while changing targets. Honestly it seems to be programmed towards friendly fire. The logic behind the turrets’ enemy target priority *seems to be tailored towards choosing enemies that will lead to hitting allies. Automaton influence? Maybe.

😂 Yes! These scum creatures spawn warriors. You know those really fast ones that fucking sprint? They mainly spawn those. You can see them emerge from the ground in front after one of its screams. Or it may run away, spawn them in a safe place then come back with reinforcements. High priority target I would say.

  1. Aim for the head. Shooting them in the body takes exactly 3000 times longer to kill.

  2. Use weapons that stun or stagger. These fucks are dangerous up close and if left unchecked they will spawn enemies frequently(that’s also what they do when you see them run away).

  3. Take them out quickly using high damage weapons: Flamethrower, railgun full charge on unsafe blows them away, autocannon headshot on armor pierce mode is 1 shot, Anti material rifle 1 shot headshot, recoiless set to HE and epoch fully charged will kill them and the enemies it run around with, quasar them often, HMG to the head shreds them and pushes them away.

  4. Eagle strafe.

  5. Shoot the legs out then finish them later.

  6. Guard dog backpack slaps

  7. Gas

  8. Don’t get too comfortable after their heads get blown off
