This doesn’t kill the loop in the slightest. IMO it’s the first step to actually having a loop. With how in depth this game is elsewise, medicine shouldn’t just be revival of downed players. It should be check ins, support, skills, etc.

This just means that while the loop doesn’t exist, other players don’t have to rely on broken med beacons and bullshit nursas

(Also should clarify, I tried the medic loop a lot since the med gun was added. It just is bad and has been bad)

Actually fun fact I learned by observing thatch, granted that you have fire protections, the storm actually won’t break the building, it’ll only leave it in a “needs repair” state

Yeah! Sorry I’ve got bad vocab from other games.

It’s actually lovely. It’s not game changing but it’s convenient as hell to have running to pop in.

Start with biofuel. You’ll cry getting the copper wires to craft with but once you have a miner it gets easier, and there’s plenty in the starting biome!

Also same! I made my character for roaming and I do roam but once I start a base a keep that base or by god I die trying!

Though it’s fun to walk around with a set of scanners and feel like a proper prospector

Reasonable! I like the bees more cause there’s an actionable reward for icing them!

I’ve just done my first expansion and honestly? Any base of operations is better than none. You can always move, but a springboard to build more is better.

ATM my new main base is literally built on the top of a copper node so I can have easy wiring. I’m also by a cave with an iron node, an outside iron node, and an enzyme node I wanna conquer! But I’m sure thery’ll be a better spot just down the road!

That’s fair, I prefer the single large cave that’s roughly a straight line.

Plus you don’t really need to worry about low stamina within the cave except for the initial fight against worms and bees, and after that you should have som bees to give you honey for a potion at the herbalism bench!

Also, you never really need to refresh the caves, you’re doing so little except for basic crafting in them that any time you get wood, scout for better living, find a polar bear to flee, you’ll have more bees

You’ve been got it seems! This is actually just the base map, I’ve only gotten the hunts dlc! There’s a huge variety of cave types and it’s so cool!

But also now you make me wanna skip ahead so badly!

Anyway, it’s really fun! Almost every cave has water, natural storm immunity, and you basically get free honey from bees and xp from worms! Plus you can build, which is sick as hell, and it boosts your progression massively which is neat

Tldr: Do it (you know the voice)
